  1. i thought this might be the right section to post in but yeh i've searched and cant seem to get my hands on an english copy of the fuse block diagram under the dash
  2. someone must want it, good price brand new gear
  3. as the topic states ive got an rb26 stainless manifold and a jjr 50mm waste gate for sale, both are still brand new and have never been used so they are still in perfect condition manifold - $240 gate - $190 includes gaskets and fittings and screamer pipe anyone interested drop me a pm, i check it daily willing to post interstate, buyer pays postage expenses or can arrange pick up in syd
  4. i just used ls90 valvoline stuff, figured use the same stuff as a normal lsd
  5. just was wondering do you guys put any extra additives in the oil or do you just use ls90 to fill up your 1.5 and 2 way lsd's or do you use any oil in particular to suit the mechanical diff?
  6. thought id bring an old thread back to life with a bit of good news, i got the r32 diff into the 34, i used the r32 casing but changed the backing plates over so it has the right bolts on it, the hole sizes are different for the mounting at the snout end but thats because the r34 diff has bush inserts that the bolt goes through to make the whole thing quieter. but the bolt holes with the 32 diff line up but you just need to space them out with either a thick solid washer/part of the bush from when the r34 diff was there or get a urathane bush made up, you could use the r32 bolts or get smaller bolts but then the diff would be at a different angle to where it was originally. another difference is that the r34 has its sensors on the diff for the TCS, so since they're not there now the ABS doesnt work either. im getting an aftermarket comp so i wont have TCS at all and hopfully my ABS will work again with the new comp unless they were also the ABS sensors, in that case im ging to have to see if the internals can be swapped over which now that ive had a look im sure they can.
  7. dont suppose you have the air box under the plenum that holds the IAC valve do you
  8. the engine always gets hotter around the rear because water has to travel from the front to the rear of the block thats, why the head gaskets normally let go around piston 5 an 6 if it gets overheated
  9. thats a load of bull, its just like any other engine, the reason they might not last is if they are punished or not built properly, they are like any other engine, if they are put together properly, all gaps etc are good and they are well maintained and not thrashed competely they should last as long as any other engine out there
  10. the acl im using were designed for the hybrid conversion, the engine builder that im using had them from a previous build that didnt happen, ill have to see what the comp works out at, but they are practially flat top, so ill have to post it when i figure out the comp
  11. im going uing acl race series pistons, engines not in the car yet tho, ill post up if i have any problems with them though
  12. pretty sure your talking about a vent to atmo wastegate in this instance and not a BOV so what exactly do you have to do to make your car legal? who do you take it to? take to engineer first, then take to epa and get a cert from them as well?
  13. i would have a look at my car but im in china at the moment, going to hk in 2 days where i wanted to buy some cheap bulbs on my way back to aus, can i ask a favour of one of you guys with 34's checking for me please
  14. yeh DIY an fab are pretty much the same thing anyway in some aspects, since he fabricated this himself , cant wait to get back to aus and start this and the false floor on my car
  15. that's an awsome job for a DIY man, should get it posted in the DIY section, helped me
  16. if thats the case then im sure it will still be a long time before you get the money out of them, they will probably fight it every step of the way until the sherifs last warning and they come to collect stuff for auction then they will hand over the money
  17. you might be looking at the low beam (the outside lights) the ones on the inside (high beam) cant be HID cause they need to be able to be flashed but HID you cant flash, they need to power up, so the high beam lights should be a normal type of bulb
  18. just thought i'd add this in the r34gtt manual gearbox uses a pull type clutch and the r33gtst gearbox uses a push type clutch
  19. ive tried search im not at home at the moment (oversea's) otherwise id go and check for myself, im pretty sure that the r34gtt high beams are h1 globes. can anyone confirm this for me? thanks
  20. so you reckon that the line that comes out of the block under the exaust manifold is the feed? and that the line that runs around the head is the return? I'm pretty sure its the other way around, the water returns back into the block, as the water that runs around the block is the hottest part of the engine due to that being where the action is, cylinders. and that the water exits the engine via the thermostat, others have said otherwise but im still pretty sure this is the exit not the entry. and the 26 would be the same as the rest of the rb series as far as the direction of flow goes. but for a 25 or 20 its simple just fit up to the standard pipe that runs around the back of the head, just where the arrow on the pic is there is a thin tube not sure what size exactly but its the only thin metal tube that runs behind the head, the return back into the block, pretty sure there should be a welsh plug or somthing if its a non tubo block that goes into the water gallery. if you've got a turbo 25 or 20 block around see where the water return is on them, then look at your rb30 block, if its a non turbo there should be a grub screw kind of thing or a welsh plug or somthing blocking the hole
  21. how long did the whole process take anyway? these things can drag out for ages if the workshop owner wants to be difficult.
  22. bit off topic but that ute looks pretty cool for a commadore
  23. its pretty funny that if Uwish always watches these forums but the first time he decides to post is in this subject, little bit of a coincidence in my opinion, and for all you guys that reckon this guy isnt giving him a fair go you've obviously got little experiance with dodgy tuners. it can be extremely hard for the customer not to get ripped hard if the tuner is that way inclined, and its a very tough experiance
  24. yeh but one the rear you'd need to space them out quite a bit and they cover the reverse lights a bit, dont know if it'd look that good sticking out that far and overlapping the reverse lights, i mean in the end its up to you, your car so if you like it that way then its cool
