hi guys, just got my rb3026 run in and the proper tune done on it but we cant get it past 315kw atw, doesnt make any more power, can wind in more boost pressure but it doesnt make a difference. here is the mod list rb3026 t04z .84 rear housing 50mm gate hdi rs spec cooler (95mm thick one) pon cams b spec 9.15mm lift 260 duration cam gears ported head standard size valves 3.5" turbo back and cat, 3" from cat back splitfire coil packs 1000cc injectors built engine etc its like there is a restriction somewhere, pulled exaust off before cat, made no difference, took of turbo inlet pipe, made no difference, checked the cooler incase i left a rag in the but nope. as I said the boost pressure is there but its like the flow is not and the pressure holds steady till redline it doesnt taper off at all. this setup should be able to make 400kw so yeh if anyone has any ideas id love to hear them car goes fkn hard but yeh id like the extra kilowasps that should be there lol cheers

rb25neo is a much better engine, solid lifters for starters, digital dash so I dont know if they are harder to wind back. much nicer interior, feels more nible from what ive experienced, I preffer 34 for looks but that part is personal taste

you've got an rb26 rail though dont you rockabilly, im pretty sure he's got an rb25 (side feed) rail

when you say vl mounts do you meant the engine mounts themselves or the brackets that bolt to the side of the block?

if the wheels were still a bit hot from driving when you spray the wheel cleaner on it will dry extra fast and stuff them, also meant to be done one wheel at a time not spray all four then wash off, I learnt the hard way, lucky they were shitty r32gtst wheels

10psi should be safe, hehe dunno why the previous post didnt load up when I viewed the page before, I wouldnt go more than 12psi though. in saying that I had an rb20 180 before and ran that around on 1 bar with standard turbo, ca18 side mount (thin as fk) 3" exaust and a walbro pump for a year or so and didnt have an issue, could be that I got lucky though, next guy to own it wrote it off though so I cant say how long it lasted

15" wont fit on the front, the caliper is much bigger, 16" is what comes standard on a 33gtst and there isnt exactly alot of clearance there. next time you see an r33gtst with stockies have a look, there is much more clearance for the rears

your insurance company should be able to supply you with a letter of demand, I had a guy run into me, I have 3rd party with just car insurance and they were able to supply me a letter of demand to send to him, my guy paid his insurance eventually and was sorted out. good luck this kinda stuff is a pain in the ass there are other less legal courses of action you can take but its not a good road to go down

if your not planning an rb26 or a front facing plenum deff go the blitz, will keep your engine bay very need, no need to chop the thermo fan and its a good price, i remember when you couldnt get a jap brand cooler kit for under 1k. if your going front facing plenum later grab the hdi kit

roof is longer, sharper angles on the front and rear window

ive had a walbro in my gtt for going on 3 years now and it was in my r32gtst before that for a year or so and its going fine

so if its not going to be one percentage each time you get it how will that effect those who have tuned their car to run on say e85, i guess the correction maps will take care of small changes or will it just be %70 ethanol all the time?

mbs206 is right, its wonder when google brings up lidar is only accurate if you are stantionary and radar is the only one that will work from a moving vehicle

you can pass all of it if you get a tune and a cat to pass emissions and put all your emission control stuff on etc, but that a few grand down the track including engineers cert. you'd need to pass the im240 emissions test if you were to get an engineers cert anyway

they are not very expensive from nissan

looks like he has a 240sx so i dare say its an rb25 or 20 and he wantes the forward plenum for clearances as well as a bit more power

if your not planning on making decent power then just do a standard rebuild and you'll have a nice fresh motor, however if you do have a grand or so spare some forged pistons wouldnt go astray, wouldnt worry about the rods unless you want to make big power and rev it
