  1. sorry its in an r34, ive done the s13 with rb in it and the s13 engine bay is actually wider between the strut towers, just shorter
  2. any way of adjusting the engine from the cabin of the car is illegal, to get an aftermarket com engineered you need to get it locked out before you pass the epa test
  3. do you think it would be an option to get an exaust place to cut and re weld the manifold?
  4. yeh, its where its fouling, was thinking if it were down a bit more then it might fit, but your3 right even with the block hight it should be far enough away from the strut tower for the 30mm to not be an issue
  5. yeh ill give them a call on monday, but obviously they are not open today the rb30 30mm taller as you know so mayby it doesnt account for that as it was for an rb26, the exaust housing is a .82 so its not the big one. ill give my exaust place a call to see if they can cut and weld the flange at a different angle, the space between the housing and the valve covers is huge. i bought the manifold of gcg over a year ago so they'll prob just tell me to buy another manifold.
  6. hey guys, its an rb26/30, xtr manifold from gcg, t04z turbo, exaust housing was supplied by gcg, the thing doesnt seat on the manifold properly and the compressor housing fouls on the side of the engine bay, doesnt matter which way i twist it it hits the casing for the captive nut that the top camber arm bolts through. gotta wait till tonight to load photoshop and shrink the pics so i can upload them
  7. cool thanks, wasnt sure if using the 32gtr ones might negate the need to cut, ill just grab the 33 gtr ones if thats worked for you guys
  8. hey which rad hoses have you guys used that put an rb26/30 into an r33 gtst/gtr r34gtt/gtr r33/r34 rads are taller than the r32 ones, thought mayby 32 ones would be a better fit but yeh just wanted to see what you guys used cheers
  9. i know im digging up a dead post, but ive got the same prob, got the spigot bush in and now the input shaft is to big for it, slid over it fine before i pushed it in? anyone got some input for me?
  10. did a search before and found this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Su...=r34+surge+tank , never got to what he ended up doing about it unfortunatly, so now im seeing what other people have done in their r34's, even if your ran new lines where the standard lines attached to the fuel pump holder there are no barbs on the end so under pressure they'd come off, any input would be great cheers
  11. how can you visibly tell if its an N1 master cyl or a normal gtr one?
  12. yeh im pretty interested in how the pigeons went to
  13. +2 , most of the cars that have been in the news and been in the big crashes are stock falcons and dunny doors etc but as said earlier, the traffic side of policeing has become very political. pain in the ass protective breeders
  14. download the workshop manual from somwhere, you can get into a climate control diagnosis mode and sus out what the go is.
  15. is there any way to stop shyt like this, i guess there's not harm just shit thats not meant to be here
  16. thanks, seems like they are based in wa, im in syd
  17. hi guys dont suppose anyone knows where I can buy some sheet alloy, ive looked up a few places but they only sell really big sheets, I just need some to make a floor for the boot so I dont need a huge amount, and im not sure what type I need obviously its not dealing with heat or anything. cheers - Alex
  18. or if it was organised properly we could use the speed camera's to see exactly what speed we got up to..................... ok back to reality
  19. the speed the zed was doing comming up to the corner he either forgot it was there or somthing went badly wrong with the brakes
  20. yeh thats what im finding out, seemed like a great idea 4 years ago to build a monster of an engine, now i cant really use it to race with, well im very limited anyway with Irace i watched one of there races on speedweek, i liked the idea of the handicap starts for the lower powered cars, either way i want to get out on the track with other people in an actual race envoiroment and i like the more powerful cars, was even thinking how the r34 would go if i used a smaller turbo in IPRA, though the 36mm restrictor is very small for a 3ltr cap engine, r34 are heavier than alot of the cars but would have the extra torque, there commodores out there, id imagine they'd be a bit heavier than the r34.
  21. ?yeh im finding that out, i wasnt building it with a plan on racing it apart from super sprint and the track day, its just taken so long to get done due to lots of things and im thinking in another year once i get some things sorted id pull it off the road and race it. Irace muscle car division is looking good though seems like there are a few s15's lm rx7 etc, yeh IP wouldnt work to well, they dont really have a class for bigger cappacity cars that are forced induction i guess thats why the rotary's do so well and the sr20 powered cars get going. what class do you race in duncan? your gtr has a few things done to it?
  22. cool thanks m8, i'll check MRA and IRACE out when i get home
  23. thanks guys, im in nsw. Ive read through the cams guidlines, they get pretty complicated. not right now but later on I want to do more than just timed laps, (with traffic). I know about your car weevil, sold the r33 for an mx5, would be the best way to start a build based around a certain catagory but ive already poured so much $ into an engine that i havnt used yet so I want to use my 34
  24. sorry didnt mension, its going into an r34gtt, It seems there aren't any classes where a bigger capacity forced induction car can compete apart from full open classes
