I'm back from my afternoon on the river . Coolcruise in the Bayliner 23 from Guildford to Matilda bay for a picnic tea and a few beers , then back to guildford , on the trailer and home. As I was sitting out the front, cool breeze blowing and skimming across the Melville waters millpond is was thinking * I wonder what the plebs are doing * Now I know , breaking sumplugs , back windows and getting hot. To do a GOOD job requires the car to be stripped, ie all windows out , wheels off , door trims off and if you are doing a full colour change properly then engine out and engine bay stripped. If they aren't charging 6K for that , then they are too cheap and you get what you pay for. Colour changing a car is a good way to spend a lot of money devaluing the car. When the time comes to sell , most people prefer the unmolested , unsprayed original colour. Colour change to me denotes something slightly amiss and I price accordingly. Get a quality 3 stage type polish , Mothers is my personal favourite but Mequiars is good. Allow about 6 hrs and a lot of effort and follow the instructions ( ie. not in the sun , small amount at a time , allow to dry etc ) using all three stages including finishing with the carnuaba wax. The results are usually stunning. Cheers Ken

if it's free , yes . If they want money , no. Minimises tyre pressure build up and lets tyres run slightly cooler. Keep your tyre pressures up with regular checks and will last just as long besides , every time you have to put air in , are you going to go back to them ? Mix air and nitrogen in the tyre and it will lose the effect Cheers Ken

If it's the same as a GTR , then there is a different amount of pins in 1 side plus the wiring harness will only fit onto the lugs 1 way. Cheers Ken

OT sorry but i think that's a way out of line comment . If Jason is on the forum , how is he going to feel ?
