  2. Phil , so have I , in fact I gotta International R5 atm ( yea $600 worth ) but the rest of these guys who MAY do some CAMS stuff haven't. Cheers thats two so far ) Ken
  3. rev , that didn't belong to or was built by Dave Taylor perchance ?? Cheers ( ya gotta wonder! ) Ken
  4. Ahh , and why would get the shocks fixed at an exhaust centre. Cos they don't deal in them , they would have had to buy them from another supplier plus there markup. It's always best to try and cut out a few of the middlemen who all want a cut of your hard earned money. Cheers ( scrooge ) Ken
  5. Not quite true Kym , some people just aren't as greedy as others. I do actually have a very nice stock gunmetal grey one that is complied, is getting a new clutch friday and as far as I can see , is undamaged . Will be for sale under 30K or $32K with some special plates to go with it. Cheers Ken
  6. Mark I can just about categorically state there is NO R32 plates left in Perth. There are a couple over east but you are looking at 2K plus the work plus tyres. You have left it too late unless you are going to wait for the 15 year old rule and would have to buy b4 about May cos after that, you will be paying more for a 89 than what a 92 is worth now , along with the extra mileage etc that comes with it. Interesting to see how many 60,000 km 89's magically appear next year:lol: Cheers Ken
  7. Gotta say they look sweet on the Mazda courier van . Cheers Ken
  8. R33 is BCNR for chassis number Cheers Ken
  9. Unfortunately softer and lower don't normally go together. The lower it is , the stiffer it must be , or use variable rate ( read expensive ) springs in an attempt to stop the sump/exhaust/diff/your arse hitting the road over a reasonable bump. The higher the suspension, the more chance you have of getting a reasonable ride without smacking the aformentioned sump/ exh...... Cheers Ken
  10. your right joe , that is an odd question. Funny thing is , coming from you , it sounds perfectly normal:D Answer is no, you would have to take the springs out and replace them with solid blocks and fill the tyres full of concrete cos they have a cushioning effect as well. Cheers ( we get some weird ones ) Ken:lol:

    dyno tuners

I suggest a search thru some of the old threads might work. This has been done ( to death ) before with some fairly heated discussions ensuing. And as Paul said do not bag anybody out about what sort of job they have done on your car. It will only lead to the thread being locked so if any body wants to know , they can PM ( also as paul said ) Cheers ( trying to be neutral ) Ken
  12. Oh and in reply to taking it to one place, nobody is an expert on everything ( not even phptf ) but if you know which specialists to take it to a better result will occur. For instance I wouldn't take my car to Wilkinsons to get tuned but visavis I wouldn't take it to Exhaust dynamics for a w/alignment. Cheers Ken
  13. $500 to repair the shocks, supply new springs and bump rubbers sounds pretty cheap. I think Wilko does Koni and king springs for about $1100-1200 but at least you know they will work. Trust me , decent suspension will make your car go faster , around corners and even on the ( heaven forbid ) dragstrip. Cheers (ndf ) Ken
  14. I think you mean Jiggler , joe . Or do you mean joe Diggler ?? Cheers ( cracks me up , bwahaha ) Ken
  15. Nizmo , what type of shocks are on the car. If they are the usual Tein , Hks etc , they are designed for smooth racetrack style roads. They have HUGE spring rates and the shock valving is usually so stiff it doesn't need the springs. A few of us go to Wilkinson Suspension in Bayswater. He sells quality gear ( Bilstein, Koni , whiteline , superpro etc ) and can get you good shocks and springs that actually go up and down. Cheers ( no I'm not on commission ) Ken ps luv your signature hehe ...close the door.
  16. Cmon phptf , that's not on:D A sensible conversation and answer in Whoretown. Next your gonna stop whoring at work and do something constructive:lol: Cheers ( I'm outa here ) Ken
  17. Just announced that Jason and John White are running a new R34VSpec for Targa which is a good thing seeing they came 3rd last year in a evo7 When I was there on 01 he said the GTR was his weapon of choice and they wre going to build a kickass one. Cheers ( wished I was there again) Ken
  18. I can tell you nothing you do to your car on those events is any worse than the abuse you give it at the drags. The only difference being is that you will have to brake and turn corners which for some people is a novel idea. Cheers ( ndf ) Ken
  19. Already done it . Refer to my previous posting somewhere in these threads. As I said , I'm the ideas man , I leave it to the cruise captain to work out the fine details. Joe , JOE , Damn!! where is that guy when you want him. oh I know.... York Hospital:lol: :uh-huh: Cheers ( ideas man) Ken
  20. well get into it boyo, theres MC days , Enjo Speed event Series which is laps of Wanners , collie, hillclimbs at meelup and Wellington dam , Norberts Max Action etc. There is more than enough stuff to do with a near std car but every one talks about but very few do it. This is why I wonder about the reasoning behind forming ANOTHER one make type club in WA that pays huge fees to CAMS. Read the fine print. Cheers ( ex CAMS steward ) Ken
  21. Joe , JOE , phptf double posted , geez , wheres the whore police when ya need em , wait till I see joe and.......... ohhh?..... what, look two and three posts up * looks up,* err , never mind joe:D cheers ( old bored fa**t ) Ken
  22. Premediated ?? What , you going to announce it in the Press, rofl:lol: Spose you mean premeditated .hehe Cheers ( english teacher ) Ken
  23. ssshhh don't tell everyone there something wrong with it , your trying to sell it. * it's ok people, it's perfect, nizmo was kidding * Worked at Skippers, what dept. I gotta couple mates in there. Brodie , Murray , Steve, Bill , mainly in service side. Cheers ( old reminiscing bast**rd ) Ken
  24. Joe , wash your mouth out, comparing that pommy front wheel drive , engine the wrong way shoebox on wheels with the finest engine the right way , rear wheel drive rally car to come out of Japan in the 70's . Cheers ( those were the days ) Ken
  25. Geez , my first car was a Datto 1600. Wish I still had it sometimes but that was a looooong time ago. Cheers Ken btw has the Z31 got a heater ? Strange question I know but have seen a LOT of Hong Kong cars with only aircon , no heater?
