  1. Bites harder when launched but can shudder . If it is cushioned button and sprung centred you wont even know it's in there. If it's flat plate and solid centred , it will probably shake the fillings out of your teeth if you get the take up wrong. Cheers Ken
  2. The miss is no2 inlet gasket has blown which requires removal of the plenum/throttle bodies and inlet manifold. There are three sets of gasket there and best to replace them all. Have fun, it's a bitch of a job... V Spec usually means that it has 330mm rotors and brembo calipers. Finned diff means nothing... Cheers Ken
  3. You won't be able to import a 92 model next year unless someone is going to do the RAWS compliance on them. Atm , all that is avaliable is 15 year old 89's and not till their build month ie. built 7/89 , allowed in 7/2004. Cheers ken
  4. What did you guys use for an accelerator cable. I have the 80mm throttle body on mine and am having fun trying to get a cable to suit. btw, the std fuel rail etc fits but will have to extend the wires for the idle control solenoid which now bolt on the side. cheers ken
  5. K+N's are a very good aircleaner as the oil spray you use will actually trap the fine particles. The problem is if you over oil them , it will put a coating on the airflow hotwire film which may cause idling/running issues. You must use the oil as without it , the filter is fairly useless but don't go overboard with the spray can. Cheers Ken
  6. Search button will help a lot with the answers. Anyway, replacing the flywheel is only worth considering if you have to replace the clutch as the RandR of the box is around the $300 mark. There are probably a few things better to spend the money on or save towards to get a better result ie. aftermarket management, upgraded injectors/pump/airflow meter , better turbo, Quality front dump pipe, new forged pistons for when you blow the engine running 12lbs... Cheers Ken
  7. Some Silvia/180sx's had 4.3 diffs and some had 4.1's. If it is a Jappo dorifto style it may even have 4.4 or 4.6's in it along with an LSD. Cheers Ken
  8. Yes he has and so does every one else but as I said, you can't import them till they are 15 years old TO THE MONTH which means that the first GTR's were sold in July 89 so that means August 2004 before you can import one. Buy it now and store it if you wish... RAWS certification is model specific ie. R33 , Evo 5 lancer, R34 etc so even though they may be RAWS certified , it will not be for an R32. Cheers Ken
  9. You will be waiting till at least August to import an 89 and a while longer for anyone to do RAWS certification. Cheers Ken
  10. I have one, no ABS though. Ring me Monday at work. Was going to mod it but GTS-T's are not me, gotta get another GTR cos I miss em Has GReddy plenum with Infiniti throttle body, new 9 puck clutch, FMIC, Wolf , Bosch pump etc. Cheers Ken
  11. As the topic says , chasing a std front pipe ( from the dumps to the cat) for a R32 or preferably an R33 GTR. Have taken the big pipes off ( no , they are not for sale) cos the client requires the correct factory pipes for the rules at Targa Tasmania. W Australia preferred. PM or call me at work. Cheers Ken
  12. Sorry man but they do and they are a pandp ( if you don't count the MAP/boost line ) Nd4spd ( 600+ rwhp ) has a plug and play in his and ran at Motorvation with it. Fabs V Spec dumped his Power FC for one and I'm sure Steve can fill in the blanks... Cheers Ken
  13. You would probably be in the minority as a lot of them are in Sils and Lines here in WA with some of the 500+ hp GTR's running them with no real issues. Maybe you got a dud one or the shop doing the work may not be familiar with them. Tomj , they are good value for the price but $2200 doesn't normally include the controller.... Cheers Ken
  14. Interesting Tom We were told the price we had to quote was $2200 installed and tuned and $2K for SAU/Sil members.... Ken
  15. Plug and play with very minor mods ( running map sensor line etc ) is $1395 excluding hand controller but with laptop software. Cheers Ken
  16. It depends on which one. If you got just the clutch plate and a recond pressure plate then that is a bit steep. If you got the complete kit ( pressure plate, clutch plate and thrust bearing) and it was the 9 puck cushioned button then that is a bout right. Don't get it confused with just the heavy duty organic or 6 puck non cushioned one. Both those are cheaper. Don't believe everything you here and make sure people are comparing apples with apples. Cheers ken
  17. Wow , where does all this info come from. Pull the fuse and bleed off the residual line pressure in the ATTESSA 4wd unit at the rear of the gearbox. Get it wrong and stand back though.... Cheers Ken
  18. You can dyno a R33 GTR on a 2 wd dyno.... Cheers Ken
  19. That will be plus Duty and GST. We sell them brand new for $450 and have a couple in stock. They are expensive and these are the cheapest I have found. Cheers Ken
  20. Hybrids which are crossflow core approx 600x300x70 ish are $550 if you know where to go and there is one avaliable thats even cheaper. You tend to get what you pay for unless buying in large quantities . Cheers ken
  21. Really? If you have a legit 10sec car in WA you will need for the drags. Been here one day Lawbreaker and already flaming.... these are the sort of threads where good information can come from , better than posts like * what neons are best* You just have to sit and watch sometimes. Cheers Ken
  22. Happy for you Duncan, the one I have also has side intrusion bars, camera mount and harness bar tied into the main hoop and included in the original price was welded strengthening plates attached to the floor and tie into the seatbelt/sills. I also looked at Bond cages but went this way . Would have prefered a complete weld in Multi point but didn't want to totally wreck the car and turn it into a full on racer. pricing is competitive but only when you compare apples with apples Cheers Ken
  23. $50 a guard and takes about 1 hr per guard. Can't pump them with out having to do major work and if there is any bog or rust in the lip it will crack the paint. We use a heat gun but nothing is guaranteed Cheers ken
  24. To get this thread back on track, I have a custom designed bolt in full cage which was CAMS approved for Targa in 2001 . Was built by Maitland Performance Fabrications here in WA and cost me $2500. Is for sale for $1200 and all you need are the footplates welded into the floor or make up some doubler plates to go under. * still shakes head thinking about what a dick/dick nicknick is....* Cheers ken
