Sydneykid ( aka Gary ). The remote canister/adjustable setup you have wouldn't be Drummond Motorsport 50mm by chance ? Reason I ask is have been looking at them for my GTR to be used for fast road/Tarmac Rally on RE55's ? Just wondered if they aren't, what are your thoughts on DMS ? Cheers Ken

Correct Liz We do a thorough inspection on the hoist and hand written ( cos we can't be arsed typing) report INCLUDING a compression AND cylinder leakage test for $180. Not super cheap but better than RAC or SGIO who don't even remove the spark plugs. Other bonus is that we have a bit of experience working on Nissans... Cheers Ken

AS1698 is the legal requirement for CAMS events up to and including Targa Tasmania. That is also the requirement for bikes. International CAMS events used to be a lot higher but they kept changing the spec overseas. The above is only good for international events in your home country. If you went overseas to compete I believe a Snell SA90 or above is required( read $1K helmet !! ). For minor events a AS1698 is ok but personally but if I was doing a high speed, close to trees or solid walls , I would want something a little better. As they say $100 head, $100 helmet. I favour my $500 ARAI helmet for the big stuff as it fits better, has more padding and a lot thicker/stronger shell. After a BIG crash in Targa 2001, I was glad I did.... Cheers Ken

I am sure there will be w/shops who say it's wrong but this is what we do. Valvoline LoVis mineral oil in with new filter. Run engine for about 1/2 hr or until well warm. Refill again with Lo Vis and new filter ( as all engines have particles in them and need to be removed from the engine asap so hopefully will be trapped in the filter). Do 500km at moderate revs and load and change again. Put on a semi sythnetic based oil and up the load/revs but not flat out till about 1,000km. Put onto full synthetic ( we use Mobil 1) and belt away.... Cheers Ken

Search the for sale thread. Micko has one plus some RB20 a/f meters for $1400 and is in W Aust. Can vouch that this setup made 400rwhp running HKS 2530's Cheers Ken

Some water in the catch can is ok due to condensation formed in the combustion process which can work it's way into the catch can. It is usually a sludgy mix but we have seen a little water come out with no ill effect on the engine. White smoke could be a range of things from condensation in the exhaust, turbo seal, valve stem seals, worn rings, headgasket... Would suggest a compression/cylinder leakage test which should show if you have any blown head gasket/broken rings/cracked pistons. If it uses no oil and the smoke was a oneoff incident, I wouldn't get too concerned. Cheers Ken

Ohh , and if CAMS is reading this , we didn't average more than 132kmh for the stage.. Cheers Ken
-
Wells Glover !! How fast was that stage !! Lets just say the auto wrx camera car found the speed cut for quite a while.. Hehehe Cheers Ken

Loose turbo to manifold or blown gasket. When it hits full boost it sounds like a whistle/screeching sound as the air is being forced out through the small gap. Cheers Ken

Yes they are from Bosch and yes , the black GTR is here. Runs 407rwhp off the boat at 15psi Cheers Ken

Power FC tune is $450 minus 10% to SAUWA members We normally have the car for 1 day. HP varies but never seen one leave yet that made less hp. We actually do a special on R33 GTS-T's and Silvia SR20DET's of supplying, tuning and fitting a Power FCwith handcontroller for $1600. We use Datalogit to tune them as well and that includes a full Dyno Dynamics Shootout accredited power run. Don't think there are too many shops who can beat that Trouble is for the majority is we are based in WA cheers Ken

Read the guidelines Mirkop/wrecked head/always me. No personal attacks or threats. Byeeee btw , if you are a shining example of Sydney culture then WA isn't far enough away for my liking... Cheers Ken

*looks at Danny.*. * Looks at Paul * I have NO idea what you are talking about Cheers Ken

Wow !! Very good you pair and about time the money was spent on something that appreciates rather than depreciates. Best part of a mortgage is that in a few years the bank will loan you anything cos you have equity. Bring on the pair of 34's I will also tell Adam ( who we sponsor ) , and Drift Mike ( who now works here ) to paint some rubber lines from Gnangara Rd to your place . Ellenbrook is becoming a real SAU/drift persons haven. Will make it easier for us to find you then... hehe Cheers Ken

Mirkop/ wrecked head / always me etc You really are a tosser aren't you ?? Dirt garage , Subi is good but a bit pricey , try looking at Vic Park/Burswood near the Causeway or Rivervale. Mind you if you are going to work in Freo, the daily drive is a pain from any of those areas. Cheers Ken

You specifically want 19's or just think you need them to clear Brembos ? I have 18's on mine and they clear the F50 Brembo calipers with 330mm rotors easily. Could go to 355 at a squeeze if needed. Cheers Ken

Sorry to the people who I told was sold Due to timewaster , is back on the market. BTW , all stickers have been removed. Cheers Ken

Is this a RAWS/SEVS workshop or a 15 year old compliance workshop?? Cheers Ken

And many years ago when the Nissan factory Rally team was running ( George Fury and Ross Dunkerton ) they had 2 or 3 E20 vans with L28 straight sixes in running webers etc and a close ratio 5 speed box. The boys ( aka Pete Ryan and Jamie ) reckon it was a bitch to get the column shift to work with the 5 speed but it was never late to a service point . Was funny hearing the vans coming, everyone thought the rally cars had arrived. Cheers Ken

I have a factory built Nissan V6 auto Urvan.Comes with the VG30de engine from the Z31 300zx. Only got 122rwhp but a stack of torque and we have all the manifolds etc for a single turbo conversion.... Cheers Ken PS $11K will buy it.

Push or pull doesn't matter to the flywheel but for reference the 89 should be a push clutch. We can supply a brand new Fidanza flywheel which is l/weight ( approx 4.5kg ) alloy with a replaceable steel insert. It is also a pretty purple and is $660 incl plus freight Cheers ken
