The Power FC's are model specific so yes, we will get the one that fits straight into your car and is a replacement for the std puter. The $880 2nd hand price will require tuning which is usually $350-$450 extra. Our price is for a new unit and includes the tuning.. Cheers Ken

Err , the one that fits your car. Just the base model, not the D Jetro. These are brand new. Cheers Ken

Chris, I have used Craig at J Spec twice and both times have been all good. Transport wise it will come through NYK as Kiwi don't do west coast plus I paid the extra and got it insured through Midas for shipping theft etc. Like all these brokers, they have there good and bad days but I think his reputation is reasonably sound. Cheers Ken

Nope, on special here at $1600 supplied, fitted, tuned with handcontroller and Aus warranty. Cheers Ken

If you mean the cast alloy pipe the BOV attaches to , I have one. $100 and ring me at Hyperdrive . Cheers Ken

Pete , those are the terbs we can get for a good price but they have none in stock and looks around 3 months before they will have some more. Have our guys trying to convince Garrett to speed up the wait as with the new pricing , these are very good value for money. Cheers Ken

PNBlights GTR from Bunbury has that setup with cams, power fc ,a/f meters etc and runs 536rwhp Chers Ken

Pete , if those are the replacement terbs , we can do them a lot cheaper than that atm. They look the same spec ie .60 Comp and .64 Terb housing plus are rated at 350hp each. Does the factory dump bolt up to these ?

Mine arrived Friday and those who went to the dyno day would have seen it parked over the road. Am very happy so far, all the bits are still on it when it arrived at the workshop Cheers Ken

Wow, this thread is back from the dead !! You will find a lot has changed in 12 mths including ND4SPD now running an Apexi D Jetro and Danny ( GT500) is putting either a SM4 or Apexi in. Seems a lot of people have had a rethink on the old wolf/autronics debate now a few truths have come out. We have seen some ... err... interesting Autronic wiring on a few cars these last 12mths which go a long way to explaining some issues... John Wholagans GTR doesn't run within 2 secs a lap of the Autronic equipped 180 SX we manage btw. Cheers Ken

That would be us then as Mt Lawley is NOR Cheers Ken

Where do you live as that will tend to dictate where you will go ? NOR , come and see us SOR , go to XSpeed Eastish/SOR , go see CRed. All have quality mechanics who are very familiar with Nissan Imports . Cheers Ken

Depends on condition. For example , we have a client who just purchased a 33GTR from the East for 26K. After inspecting the car I would have rather bought a 32 GTR for the same money. It is a dog.. To get back on track , Tay's car is a very nice example that looks mint with the RG wheels on it. Has been regularly serviced by us and no expense has been spared to maintain it. 261rwhp is very good for a near stock one and shows the condition of the engine. Cheers ken

Ant at X Speed would be the next choice They have Datalogit software and a dyno now. Some might say he is the first choice but I am biased towards Glenn for some strange reason... Cheers Ken

Put new tyres on the front or swap them side to side and then try it. Tyres get a "set" in them if they have been run misaligned. Cheers Ken

MAX you'd pay for this bottom end (RB31DET)
gtrken replied to mr_rbman's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Think you might find he means Hyper eutectic which is basically std pistons. Cheers Ken -

Whiteline do what is referred to as there " big dip" bar which is a std S13/180sx bar plus an extra dip in it. We use them on our RB20det sil conversions. If you have a drama cos a few of the sales staff don't even know they exist, I will track down the part number for you. Cheers Ken -
Yep , only factory built V6 auto van avaliable. Nissan made these with ALL the bells and whistles and were very expensive new. Looks just like an Urvan but has a few extras Twin sunroofs with centre one electric Electric windows Power steering Front and rear aircon and heaters, seperately controlled Factory and licensed 8 seater with the centre seats folding/swivelling/laying down to make a bed/party room whatever.. Electric mirrors Star wars dash I believe a genuine 68,000km electric curtains two tone blue over silver paint. Electric overdrive auto. Factory 15in mags Fully carpeted in factory plush pile These things are rare , especially in this condition and paid a premium in Japan to get it. Problems are confined to a scrape on the sliding side door. Has been serviced by me since bought in about 12mths ago and is licensed for 6mths. Is a bit of a sleeper and would make a great tow vehicle plus able to sleep in and with the factory V6 there is no problem with lack of grunt. I have seen lower spec ones ( Limited versions )go for $13K but want to move this so am looking for $11K. This may sound a lot but consider what else you can get that will do the job of transporting 8 people, have room to carry all the gear in the back still AND be able to still tow/cruise at 110kmh. Contact me via PM or ring me at work 089 209 3100 Cheers Ken

WTF...R32 GTR Speed limited..!..?
gtrken replied to PSI_GTSII's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
very close, depends on the launch. Speed limiter is usually about 200kmh which is about 120mph. near stock GTR's won't normally get there. Cheers Ken -

Speed limiter. Get an Apexi power FC or some other aftermarket puter. Bring it in for a dyno tune/remap and we can remove the limiter, raise the revlimit etc and tune the car for $800. No point buying an aftermarket limit device when it can be taken out. -
And in Banzai !!

1Rebleed the system and check for a leak at the slave cylinder under the car 2 The pressure plate has broken the diaphragm 3 The pedal box bracket under the dash is broken. Cheers ken

hehe, yep, it got a bit heated sometimes. Not having dealt with either of the dudes you lot are talking I still say go where you are comfortable/your wallet can afford. Huge prices does not a good job make... It's all in the competency of the guys at the shop and who there past clients are or what they have achieved. We never get the same power on the dyno as a lot of other shops around town except our cars tend to be up near the front at the drags/races/SES.. btw, Bens GTR in the latest SPEED is one VERY impressive, well thought out ride. Cheers Ken
-
Nice to see that the East has it's own *my tuner is better than yours* dramas as well. I thought it was just a WA problem.. My advice is to stick with a shop you are comfortable with and get a rapport with the owner. Our regular clients get a lot better service/time/sympathy that the ones you know who jump from shop to shop trying to get a better deal. Cheers Ken

Aim to achieve about 450rwhp which can be done with a turbo/injectors/afm/powerFC/exhaust/cams combination. It is reliable on a good, stock internalled, engine and won't destroy the gearbox/clutch/drivetrain. Then there wont be too many cars on the road that will smoke it :) Cheers Ken
