  7. As I said Denver , 430 but didn't seem like it. He got to 6500 so it must have been putting 430 down. The cars in front had less than that and Harkins has 480 at all 4 and didn't do all that well either. Just shows people who claim that hp is everything that they are not necessarily right. Am not having a go at you but just pointing out to the drag heroes that hp does not necessarilly win races. Cheers Ken
  8. Just found out that the rd of the state m/khana series is on the same day in Albany. I can do the early morning sess at the hillclimb and then down to the khana. Cool , there great fun , specially if I take the crap rear tyres with me. hehehehe. Sunday is a regularity round the houses event as well. Don't yhink they will let me in that one though. Cheers Ken

  10. Depends on the auction. I looked at a supposed Grade 3.5 car for someone today and it had both 1/4's repainted and had a new beaver and repair to boot floor. Jaa auctions are slack with there grading but USS are pretty good. Cheers Ken

  15. Next week it will be back from Sydney. Have 2 guys who have first dibs on it ( thanks lumpy ) but you can certainly have a look at it. I have bought in 6 GTR's in 2 years and even the grade 3.5 's needed work and they were 92's and 93's. Would be surprised if the 89's didn't need at least the same if not more. If they are mint examples they go for a lot more than 700,000 yen or so. Check the dealer prices and yahoo japan for a truer indication on the good ones. Cheers Ken
  16. oops , disregard previous post . I thought you were talking bars , not springs. You will need an alignment with a spring change cos the toe will be out due to ride height change. Cheers Ken
  17. Easy to do yourself , won't need a w/alignment cos you are not changing camber , castor or toe. Wilkinson Suspension do 4 wheel w/align for about $50 anyway. Cheers Ken

  21. I assume you are talking about the brace between the shock mounts under the bonnet and not the sway bars under the car. Strut braces work if they are attached to the suspension ( ie Macpherson strut style. ) The lines are double wishbone and the mount you are attaching to is not a stressed member of the car.Also unless it is straight and substantially thick , it will flex anyway. I think you would find if you did an MC type day with the bar on and off , the difference would be marginal. But hey , it looks cool and I have em on my car ( cos they came with it ) Cheers Ken Cheers Ken
  22. which is why I can't work out why people try to make their GTST's into R copies or try to make them faster. My saying is that if you want a faster car , buy one from the manufacturer. Usually works out cheaper in the long run. Cheers Ken

  25. Rob , I am on geoffs site and have seen them all. Yes it is cheap but that is relative. An 89 GTR is getting on . I have a 92 for sale for $28K with fruit and it is here. I would be prepared to spend some money on a 89 GTR cos it will need a few things ( clutch , d/shaft boots , brake discs , top arm bushes etc ) Cheers Ken
