Hmm, no, just go the regular RB25DET AFM and standard RB25DET PFC! Just don't have the boost sensor like standard '33's do. It's actually a pretty standard setup, stock turbo, stock injectors, stock sensors. Makes about close to 200kw at 14psi. I might give it a shot and take it somewhere for them to check the a/f ratio, etc.

Cheers, so by retuned, is it a simple task of just adjusting the CAS and whatever else to work with the slightly different engine, or are we talking a major effort to get it up and running? Also, without the boost sensor will it do stupid things (like retard the timing)?

I'm looking at removing the powerFC from my RB30DET for use in another car. The engine is using a standard RB25 loom and injectors/sensors, the only difference being I don't use a boost sensor. What are the chances of simply plugging-and-playing a standard R33 computer into it and driving away?

Do slide still do their highflow turbos? Last time I looked, couldn't see them on the website.

I've done a lot of searching about it, and most people seem to go aftermarket options for cruise control, however it seems that there was an option to have cruise control installed on an R33 - and there's a "holder" for the cable next to the accelerator cable. My question is, does anyone have a photo of the throttle body setup with factory cruise installed? I had planned to just use a VL one, but the setup seems to be a bit different. Cheers!

They look very similar, and actually, if I remember correctly ash put RB20 ones on his for stealth effect haha. Probably going to get them sprayed in 2pac, in a tangerine (orange/red) colour.

Pretty basic question - Are the standard issue rb25 spark plugs suited for the rb30det? Asked about them at repco, and they want $27ea for platinum "oem" sparkplugs, sounds a bit rich to me (used to paying about that for a set of 6 haha).

Over the past week when i'm stopped near buildings/objects that reflect sound, etc, or cars stopped next to me at the lights, i've been heading a 'tinkling' metal-on-metal kind of noise, it's coming from the left hand side of the car as far as I can tell - and gets slightly louder by 0psi (from -20ish vaccum/idle), and then disapears. It is only really noticable at idle and very low (<2000) revs. At the moment, my theory is the turbo is shot... bearings or something, it's just a good 'olde ceramic r33 s2 stock turbo. Is this the sort of thing i should stop driving straight away, or is it just likely a worn bush or something that will be fine lasting a few weeks until I organize a replacement? Not sure if this is a common symptom, although I know these turbos can shatter which worries me. Cheers as always

Just after a quick power up for my rb25/30 - currently running the stock rb25 turbo and would like something larger before I upgrade to a 35/40 next year, after something that will bolt directly onto the std. manifold and dump pipe (if possible). cheers

spotted vange following me up king william road on friday night a bit after 8pm, and foolboost out at BP west terrace
