Do you mean as in - if the complience plates are missing, you can have it exempted from needing to have one fitted? If so, yes I have done that - and it's relativly easy - regency park did it for me actually.

I'm having a good experience with allen engineering, they have given me some great advice - and really know what they are doing. The best thing is they were one of the cheaper quotes I'd gotten, and they are a proper engineers, not just a mechanic who does a wheel alignment and a spark plug change in the morning and bolts a few engines together in the afternoon. The only thing that may put you off is the fact they are out in mallala (45min drive from the city) - and you probably wont be able to leave your car there (i just dropped the engine parts off).

I'm not sure about the dyno reading low, the two VL's that went on it were running very, very healthy numbers! Definatly wouldn't call it low.

I don't know if I should admit this.... But I was just down having a play with the setup, and thought that the plug on the loom coming from the coilpacks looked a very similar size to the one on the ignitor, and what do you know it fits perfecty. Should really learn to check these things.

Interesting - I've got a seperate ignitor already actually, maybe it would be easier to find some S1 coilpacks.

I don't know - but it seems to me that in series 1's is goes Signal -> Igniter -> Coilpacks -> Sparkplug Whereas, in the series 2's it simply cuts out the extrac jump and goes Signal -> igniter/coilpack combo -> Sparkplug The actual signal from the loom should be identical I'd say. benl1981: how much are you chasing N I B: thanks, any reason why they are better?

I think that will be okay as I have the series 2 steel brackets as well as the coilpacks. I'll just wire in the series 2 loom plug (i have that too heh!) straight into where there series 1 loom usually goes into the ignitor.

Is there anything that will be a major problem with splicing a set of series two coilpacks into a series one loom? I havn't had a close look at a series 1 loom yet, but I assume it's basically a matter of just skipping past the series 1 ignitor and hooking them in directly to the loom? If anyone has done this I'd love to hear how it went.

Ok, one last time I promise I'm still looking for a complete R33 RB25 loom, possibly with coilpacks included, please no crazy prices, or I might as well buy a whole nother head purely to strip the loom off. Also after an R33 AFM to suit Now the one last part, is the small elbow bend which attaches to the exhaust side of the turbo. Thanks, these are the only parts I'm missing.

it's a bit like wankers who ask you about your car and their first question is "how much boost u running bro?" But I think this guy is talking about the acl hyperlite series of pistons, I was considering them for my conversion, but my engine builder talked me out of them.
