I'm sorry to hear about this. It sucks cause the other guy doesn't have insurance, otherwise I would be chasing it. But the fact was if you spun for 350 meters at 80, a car's stopping distance without ABS on the same road would be 350 meters if he locked up the wheels. If he had insurance I would follow it up, but since he doesn't, your just going to give him a $15,000 debt, and thats up to you if you want to do that.

I think this is just a montage of all the best/worst car crash ads More importantly, buy a car with ABS, Stability Control and Electronic Brake Assist, and learn what they do and how they work. All of the example accidents could of been prevented or at least lessened the damage caused with the use of these aids. In saying that, Attitude is the most important factor. If everyone had the right attitude, and made better risk assessments, there would be no need for the above aids. But everyone makes mistakes and you would need everyone to pay attention 100% of the time and take note to the techniques that can be used (and more importantly, put into practice). Realistically, never going to happen
