  2. where did u source the accusump from, looks like a great idea
  3. i too have a 32gtst with rb30/25 combo, currently i have the factory 4.11 diff but am having to change into 5th down the 1/4 which is a pain. i've been considering going to 3.9 and my tuner agrees, the alternative would be using a taller tyre at the drags (set of micky thompson et's would be nice ) what gear r u finishing in down the 1/4 bubba?
  4. hey guys, hope u don't mind if a qlder crusie's down for some tyre smoking action spectated last year and had a few rides in my mates torrana and firebird, was great fun on a great track with more than 2 left hand turns!!! i'll be bringing my 3L r32 down to hopefully smoke the before mentioned torrana, is it cool if i pop in to say hi if i see ya's in the garage, would love to see this ls1 r32!

    Im Back

welcome back mate, can't wait to see the gtr in action
  6. any idea what the a/r is on the turbine housing?
  7. how many deg can u get out of the eccentric bolt?
  8. yeah we used adjustable castor rods on the race car to dial the understeer with great results, but r they legal for street cars? It would probably be cheaper to wire up the solanoid, but what speed do i set it at? 80kph?
  9. so after reading a few more threads from my search i think i've got a solution... There is a solidnoid on the steering rack which controls power steering pressure, the factory setup controls it so u have light steering at low speeds for manovability (ie parking) and stiff steering at high speeds for stability (ie back straight at qr ). So i'm guessing i need to hook that up to my haltech and program the same setup, something for my tuner to do i think. What u guys reckon?
  10. Ok heres one for ya's I've just installed a new motor in my r32 and have removed the HICAS completely. I removed all the lines, gutted the part of the power steering pump that provides fluid for the HICAS, installed a lock bar and removed the computer. Now the HICAS light is on only when the ignition is off and the steering seems more heavy then usual I assume that the HICAS is in limp home mode and causing my steering to be stiff, but how does it control the power steering pressure? Cheers
  11. Fantastic service! Had the part the next day :D

  12. So I've built a RB30DET to go into my 32, I'm going to tune it to 300rwkw. I've got a 33 box and was going to just weld a 33 yoke onto my 32 tail shaft so it would all bolt up nicely. However when my mechanic took the shaft up to the tail shaft shop to be modified they said that a two piece shaft wouldn't last 5mins and that i need to buy a custom one piece shaft for $800! Is anyone with similar power and the standard shaft having issues? Is $800 a reasonable price for a custom one piece tail shaft to fit a 32 with a 33 box?

  14. I'm very interested, will u ship to brisbane? I'll cover the cost of freight of course
  15. I'm planning on checking out sunday, will come and say hi
  16. yeah be warned, the trim specs they quote r way off. Theres no way the turbo can flow the 700+ hp they say it can on ebay.
  17. Time for some pics! This is the black beast that was kindly lent to us to pull the race car to the track (cheers Glen Z), made a good grand stand to Jay tearing it up in the 1st stint Me on my way to destroying the brakes and ending our race The pad that melted... and cracked our near new rotor All in all i'm still happy with the event, we were 3secs faster than last year and able to lap at that pace consistantly. The car is handling really well now and is great fun to drive, but the best part was i was finally quicker than one of those damn wrx's!
  18. Thanks mate, car is ready and we're itching to race. Have the entry list, should rename the event to "porsche 500" Come on guys, spectators r free so fill an esky and throw the emptys at the porsche's for us
  19. that twin turbo cortina was from qld and won the drags on sunday. Had the pleasure of hearing 1000rwhp haze the tyres past me at 100kph, it was the Trick & Mansweto capri that won the dyno comp at sumernats in jan. was funny cause i read the artical bout it in street machine the day before and then got to hear all 602 cubes of big block sing in the flesh! Thats the beauty of powercruise!
  20. Yeah, that was a really clean fj20 setup. Good to see the old school nissan motors still being used. That s15 was trully nuts, so clean and stock looking yet it had a jatco and transbrake setup that produced 1/4 mile power skids! The rb25 in it still had the standard manafold, just had the throtle moved to the front! All in all a great weekend but ya right, not enough skylines. I'm definatly bring mine down next year so look out!
  21. what a great day! U guys have some quality cars down here, a strange need to put large blown engins into tiny little cars (ie corollas! ) Had a blast though, the nitro doorslammer was abit of a fizzer but u could see that coming from a mile away! "I hear its gonna cut hoops!" LOL some of the power skids were very impresive, that dato 1200 ute was nuts! might cyas out there tomorrow night! Cheers, MicK
  22. I'm flying down from Brisbane to check this out, heard the last was awesome! I'll be the guy in a QLD SAU shirt riding in a black LX hatch torrana Let me know what u guys r driving so i can keep an eye out! Cheers, MicK
  23. just need the gearbox now. seems there hard to come by these days!
  24. That corolla/nova had a 20 valve, was actually pretty quick in a straight line! Stayed with our skyline down the front straight!!
