my dad installed a all round whiteline setup on his r33 and i'd have to say i wasn't all that impressed! after receiving the wrong shocks and haveing a HUGE mess around with payment we finaly got it all together and the 1st thing i noticed was how badly the springs fit the shocks. We had the custom whiteline springs with DMS adjustable oil shocks and the spring apeared to big for the hight adjustment rings, they over lapped quite a bit. However we installed them on the car and took it for a drive, the handling was remarkably better but the shocks were extreamly noisy. The springs would creak and tinkle and it wasn't long till a very disturbing grunching noise started coming from one of the front shocks! turns out its faulty so now we have to send it back! after the dramas we had getting them up here in the 1st place who knows how long that will take! i'd have to admit though, having the height adjustment was pretty cool, and the feel of the car through corners when the shocks were on there hardest setting was awesome.

saw heaps of croozers out on my way home from work! stopped off at office works at milton and the car park was packed! poor old pulsar boys were almost over run

Does anyone know if u can repair alloy rims? I recently had a nasty encounter with a gutter and i now have a small dent on the edge of my rim it only appears to be damaged on the edge and it hasn't buckled the rim at all, the car still drives fine with no vibrations of any sort. Can this be tapped out or bent back into shape? If so can anyone recomend someone in Brisbane who could do it?

probably a loose hose somewhere, worse case senario is the bearing in the turbo is on its way out

bah! i was having a slow night :shake: :bahaha:

all u need is head to toe cloths and a helmet, $30 gets u and one other person (crew) on the strip and racing. they have test n tunes every sat night and every 2nd wed, the wed night ones r usally pretty quite although last weeks was packed. Still got 4 runs in though... I got my guards rolled today so the big wheels r on, hopefully 9 1/2" of rubber will let me launch a bit harder :burnout:

We should meet at willow bank once a month, that way we can all hook up and run our cars down the 1/4 too. If we get a group happening we might get a discount :burnout: I'm at the drags bout twice a month anyway with my old man, usally on wed night, trying to break 13s in his car and get a low 14 in mine. The track is open every sat night for test n tune.

yeah i'm running a cheap simota atm, i've been told the oil ones can effect ya afm

i reckon the sound my pod filter makes is loud enough... nice and legal too it makes a nice psshhhhhhhh noise when ya come off the throttle, i looked at the factory BOV and it looks like it would flow more than enough air for the boost i'm running. 51jay runs 14psi through his factory turbo at the track and the standard BOV holds its boost just as well as the GFB hybrid one he has now. At what point is a BOV actually required, i will probably run about a bar through my turbo when i get a boost controller. Is there really need for a aftermarkt BOV at that level?

LOL i had a blast, the whole day was a rip roaring sucsses untill my turbo let go. luckly it was right at the end of the day and i still had enough oil in the sump to limp home

there was a classic cars shoot out as well which had all the V8's and clubmans

well today was most enjoyable, i did bout 21 laps with my best time being 1.08 was a good turn out, heaps of skylines and plenty of the old school cars too. the sr20 club put on a nice display of drifting (that 180sx was insane!) getting extreamly sideways and doing a very good job of almost fish tailing the entire lenght of the main straight!!!:burnout: i had some problems with my turbo at the end of the day, seem to be collecting ALOT of oil in my intercooler pipeing which leaked out of the hose clip on the left i/c connection and streaked oil all down the side of my car other than that it was a very good day. MRE, 51jay and myself were all on the track at the same time which made for some good racing. didn't see u there PJKJ, did u make it?

hmm, didn't need em last time but they didn't ask for em either. u can pick em up for bout $100 anyway, head to toe clothing is also requiered preferably wool or cotton. anything synthetic is just gonna melt onto u if something catches fire.:eek: my intercooler is almost on and it looks like i'm going to have to fit a pod filter as my factory one won't fit anymore hopefully i can dodge the cops long enough to get a cold box happening and seal the pod up. thinking of putting in a 4 point harness aswell, my dad found a place thats selling em cheap along with bucket racing seats. the standard 3 point belt just dosn't hold u in the twisty bits and i really noticed it last time. hard to steer when ya using the steering wheel to keep ya in ya seat.
