we had a china copy one, changed to 6boost after the china copy started falling apart after about 2-3 race meets. We picked up more power and about 400rpm less lag. Never gone back and never will. I havent seen any manifolds compare to 6boost or etm designs yet in terms of performance and durability. Not even big brand ones from japan have in one area or the other.

What power does this 2j make? or did make before it blew? Cause those times say pretty pathetic, or the driver/s are.

I dont know for sure, but i wouldnt think that 400hp at the wheels if that is what you mean is achieveable with std airflow meters, and just a safc. You havent mentioned a computer yet, but im guessing std one right? -
if car is ready...which it should be...then yes i should be out there for some practice before state champs.

go whichever way you want...though i dont know if peole are having many issues with boost control with internal gates yet... obviously an internal gate would prove easier and cheaper with no need for an ext gate and aftermarket manifold.

mudcrab why are you heel and toeing when thats a racing technique....drifting aint racing so no need to do it. Im sure most car gearboxs and clutches can handle the abuse, unless you have a piss weak box and a underrated clutch for the power your running and the traction your road tyres are producing. I doubt your using soft semi slicks or full slicks on your street car.

i do get what your saying. but noway would i ever get or recommend a second hand helmet. 200 bux or less for a brand new one which is probably reasonable would be good enough.

yeh i think he himself lives at enoggera....i actually live at enoggera too, my parents live up the road at EP...well in the hills to be precise. I wasnt aware he had a son. But am now. Just dont get our cars mixed up....ours is the quicker one

yeh...used to do cams stuff at morgan park, now its just sprints, top gear and state championships at qr. im dying to get into one of the track days that paul runs....but whenever they are on, car is either in pieces or i cant get off work

i wouldnt call the track days as a real test of a car or engine setup, not enough laps. But i suppose its better then street use.

haha ebay specials and china copies work shane.....just not for very long. I can assure you, also not when put under any real pressure or continued use.

whats your head worth? At the moment, doesnt sound like its worth much. In motorsport there is a saying that alot of us stick too about safety. If you cant afford the best or atleast good quality safety equipment then you cant afford to race. However not everyone can afford good quality equipment, but i would never buy a second hand helmet.
