  1. what injectors did he have in there?
  2. we ran the rec 3 thou for our last few motors with no dramas. They were all cp pistons. Also, obviously your ring end gaps will vary depending on the engines power and application. For circuit we run 20thou top and so it goes.
  3. unless your bottom end has been machined to allow the use of the 26 bearings properly...ie. the extra oil holes.
  4. you mean our old tune? Car wouldnt start on it?
  5. how about instead of talking shit on here everyone go home and work on their cars...im going to finish this stupid dry sump pan. Go play with some spanners ya losers instead of being keyboard warriors.
  6. well i like the sound of touge then if its done on a proper track. Maybe if i was more badass then the mountain type would sound appealing.
  7. speedway is gay cause its on clay and in a bloudy oval... and isnt touge around mountains? If it is then its gay too cause its not on a track...if it is then cool.
  8. wait...i could improve on it, if drifting was racing but going sideways all the time then i reckon it could be fun to watch. Remove the gay judging system and have traditional first over the line or with quickest time wins deal then it would be great.
  9. i really like some of the drift cars...but its just so boring and slow to watch. Not just that, but the cars are slow around the track...only thing i like about it (besides the cars) is the smell of smoking rubber.
  10. trents car ran a full exhaust system out the back......and his worked out. So it is possible...you dont need to recess the tank that far down...christ our tank drain bung sits flush with the bottom of our boot floor.
  11. when noels car is done and does a 130mph pass he can give you the timeslip...no one will be the wiser anyway.
  12. remember that this is a street car also. thats why he wants it all legal to a degree and properly done.
  13. im sure they would have done some comparisons...they would be somewhere. I dont think someone would come up with something and not prove it...thats just silly marketing. Ive only heard from workshops who have used them that have seen the benefits of running them in comparison to greddy or std manifolds.
  14. Ill show you dyno results noel after ours is all going....we should see less lag with improved low to mid range torque and power. Those damn short runners kill the low end power and response. But i guess we are looking for just about everything we can get to help us out. 1200 bux is abit much, good thing we didnt pay that price
  15. shaney poo....trent has a very simliar setup in his drift car to what your looking at. Since your dry sump setup will be the same as his and the fuel system we can basically do a simliar thing for your car if you want. We can mount the tank on the passenger side of the boot cause thats where the lines will be run and then have your tank recessed down into the floor and just run hose from your std filling point on the drivers side to a neck on the tank. This is all piss easy mate. Why not just leave your space saver inside the boot somewhere to the side? Apologies about late reply, ive been abit slack lately.
  16. yet the hypertune plenum supposedly gives damn near perfect airflow to each cylinder especially 5 and 6. If you have some level of fabricating skills you can make up an adaptor plate for the std throttle body to suit the greddy plenum easy enough. Abit of 10mm ally plate cut to measurements i cant remember right now. Save yourself the 100bux. You can run the std fuel rail no problems with side feed injectors. The greddy plenum has bolt holes to run both side and top feed rails. Whichever way you want to go. The plazmaman plenum i believe is designed to take the std throttle body not the q45, so i guess some modifying will need to be done inorder to run it...when i figure it out i will let everyone know unless somebody else has already done it.
  17. brad can hook you up with some sweet cp pistons...great price. free plug mate
  18. ive found plastigauge to be inconsistent...built two motors with two different clearances, micrometer didnt lie, but the plastigauge did.
  19. ours just arrived last week too for our new motor. Previously had a greddy plenum. Will know the differences between the two once the new motor is in and tuned. The new plazmaman plenum is very bling!
  20. im pretty sure its the last column for the highest tensile. Well thats the one we always use, havent had any problems yet. In all the boxes weve got i dont think they had a paper with it on there.
  21. its bloudy 100ft/lbs if you use oil...and its 79ft/lbs if you use their moly grease. that is from arp. that wasnt supposed to sound rude...so dont get wrong idea.
  22. ill pick on your car noel. Get rid of that stupid silicon 90 degree bend and weld an ally 90 on there in its place...im sure ive told you that before. It will burst right where the heat radiates from the silly s/s manifold you got Apart from that it all looks very bling and respectable mate...excellent work and build!
  23. Very nice stuff in here.
  24. okedoke...weird. I know most american results are abit higher then ours. Generally dyno specific as to why that happens.
  25. you in america or australia?
