  1. why couldnt you use rb26 bearings? 25, 26 and 30 are all the same size. For people in the know, it can be common to use them yes. On a side note...Flyfink that looks like a photo of our first rb30det in your avatar...wtf? That workshop background looks like the shed at home. How the hell did you make that your avatar?
  2. Use the loom and computer for whatever head your using. Thats the easiest way as it will plug n play with all the sensors and ancillaries on the head/block. Injectors, coil packs and so on.
  3. Noels not lying either....i believe he actually fought in the first world war....kudos for defending our country mate lol
  4. humz seach the forums or maybe within the thread for details on installing a jun collar....the crank will need grinding and holes drilled and tapped for grub screws. Its not so simple, machine shop job.
  5. How the hell do they classify those hoosiers as semi slicks....twin thin lines and the compound is softer then that in our d11 dunlop full slicks....work that out. We will be running them shortly
  6. lol thats gold. Are you guys being serious or taking the piss? In this thread its hard tell...josh and andy?
  7. in about 3 weeks i believe. sprints and top gear then weekend after is next championship round.
  8. Yes....had to chat to SK the other night....it should be all good from now on.
  9. if you want...on the national giants only a sec quicker and 2 on sprint...but next time we hit the track...we should be just as quick if not quicker....but i admit giants car is a very well setup beast. No...the dry sump is MINE! Get your own. I can show you how to fit it up good and proper. You will love the new 26/30's soon to be built...sporting t04z and a few other bits. And the new gearset going into the box oh and autronic.
  10. Yeh Paul..i see you cleaned up in the wet on sunday arvo, good work....haha...we blew the turbo and 4th gear shat it self. Next round will certainlybe interesting.
  11. if his car is hard tuned....does that make mine a soft cock? Surely im right if things are all back to front these days. Hey shane...dont go with your biased few on hard tuned gtr's and gtst's....i reckon they do compare and i think ours is proof of that...when its got its eye of the tiger going haha.
  12. get an aftermarket plenum for the height, thats easy to do instead of stuffing around with dropping the mounts/crossmember. the only oil feed you need to worry about is the vct feed. you need to work out what your cr will be using one of the online compression ratio calculators. inputting stroke, bore size, hg bore size, combustion chamber cc, hg thickness, piston height in the bore, and whether the piston has any valve reliefs or is domed. Street car.....keep vct. Its fark all work to make it run. Argo rods are great and Spool rods are great. Both come recommended.
  13. Damn, hasnt this gotten blown out......
  14. gt35/40 for sure. The power isnt so savage...the gt30 equaled alot of wheelspin and power/throttle induced oversteer which makes traction harder to maintain. Good thing with the 35/40 is there is still more room for power...which SK has pointed out already. However that turbo has blown...but is getting rebuilt asap. Plans have upgraded bigtime now:) My opinion is GT35r fo shizzle!
  15. What kastin said....Cheers mate.
  16. Hi. Im looking for a gtr(rb26) head with all valvetrain/covers and inlet manifold...doesnt need exhaust side or turbos. If anyone knows of any or has any please let me know. Cheers.
  17. Will you have more available soon trent? Please let me know. Cheers.
  18. Howdy. Im wondering where I can get some r33 s2 front fibreglass guards which are flared out a good inch or two? We are chasing something like that for the race car for front wheel clearance. Whether pumped gtr guards are around or even gtst pumped guards...weve tried a few places but havent found anyone yet. Does anyone know of anyone who sells these or can make them? Cheers.
  19. I agree with noel...there is alot of skylines getting around on the streets...but not so many actually seriously racing their cars...but i also understand the people who only have street cars cant afford or risk racing their car properly...but dont knock noel for asking the question....hes old but keen...keener then alot of the young folk...like myself It would be nice if we had more fellow skyliners racing..circuit stuff that is...there is too many wrxs out there these days even though none of them are fast its overwhelming sometimes. Fellow nissan support is encouraged.
  20. yeh dont get caught up in the all the bullshit associated with cams and the old boys club...they have a bad reputation for starting rumours and trying to spread them to keep people from enjoying motorsport at QR cause tetley runs AASA and doesnt let the cams guys do what they want...Some of the historic boys are notorious for that petty crap. Unfortunately we happen to be mates with some of them...and hear all the rumours all the time. If your not referring to what im talking about or dont know about it then my bad. I thought there was a court case with one of the driver training places...but i think thats in the past...or i could be wrong.
  21. lakeside is going ahead...plans for up and running racing in the not too distant future...There will be racing this year as far as i know from what tetley said at qr sat.
  22. yeh Roy, ill have to check if they are 2 piece or mono...im thinking casted 2piece. and for Russ's 32 gtr...definetely nutz. He said he would be out at the next sprint meet at QR...so ill def go to see him in action...plus spy mission. on a side note...we blew our turbo at todays meet
  23. yeh it is the same power....but with no water/meth injection...however they are two different dynos....so there could be some difference. With the old turbo and water/meth the knock at this power level was alot higher and getting close to unsafe...however now there is no knock at all...not even at the track. So its not bad....but i can feel the need for more coming on soon.
  24. ok here are the sheets. Just got back from first day of the first round of the state championship round at QR. Was good, but I was expecting more cars to be there...seems alot of people pulled out at the last minute....odd. We need a good boost controller. And a better setup suspension.
  25. ill have to check ours, but our alcons run with 355mm rotors(have to double check) and we only run 17" rims...big 4spots up front and smaller 4 spots at the back. The whole package with a set of pads was well under 10k also. We were opting for the 6 spotters up front, but apart from better pad life and more even wear the bloke at sbc reckons the difference in braking performance is negligible. So he talked us into just the 4spots.
