yes..we take ours to 8k...we were worried about the oil pump previously but if you ran an external pump then you can probably rev is further without much concern at all. But most people will tell you there is no need to rev it because it makes the same power as a 25 or 26 at lower rpm, but if you can afford and it still makes strong power upto the rpm limit you want then why not.

I use shell vpower racing. In my road r33 and in our race r33. But both cars have been tuned on it. Best pump fuel around, cheapest for the octane rating it has.

What Events/classes Can I Possible Enter?
r33_racer replied to Kaido_RR's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Im part way through getting my lvl 3 (Provisional License) which im pretty sure it what you need to import a race/rally car, unless you have a mate or someone who can do it for you. -
ok geoff your confusing me here. Your building a 26/30 but using a 25 loom right?
-
wouldnt you be running a 26 loom with your 26 head? What episode of house are you referring to...i just watched the latest season 3 ep i got from the net...it was pretty good.

v8 powered mx5....aww yeh. That was with a removable tube chassis front end if i remember correctly? Hey with your expertise...could you effectively trick out a skyline with sweet james bond like gadgetry and weapons? Missiles, mini guns and the sort? Ive always wondered if anyone had done it or if it was technically possible/practical.
-
Oh yeh...another one bites the dust. Slowly everyone will get converted to the rb30 side. And realise that queensland is truly gods country...as Spoolup has already mentioned.
-
Our tuner has told us our q45 is maxing out at 370rwkws. Our r33 is s2. I used pauls diagram to wire it up.
-
Yeh i always wondered about that major fuel system in the boot. Why would they have needed the mechanical pump if they had such a trick setup in the boot with back up pumps and all.
-
they dont all do it...my acls dont do it...i ran tighter then spec clearances both piston to bore and ring end gap and i dont get any slap. You get slap if you do it to the manufacturers spec...but it does depend on the application to which your running the motor as to what clearances you run.

How To Make A Rb25 Rev Alittle Higher
r33_racer replied to 13thracer's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I thought he said he was still undecided on the turbo....with his mods or planned mods he should aim higher. 300rwkws min i think. No need for the engine rebuild otherwise. -
How To Make A Rb25 Rev Alittle Higher
r33_racer replied to 13thracer's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
why is everyone telling him its useless or 'why' he wants to do it rather then actually trying to help him achieve what he wants to achieve regardless if its practical or not?...if its possible then why not let him do it. Its his car, engine and money and ultimately hes responsible for it all. Everyone says there is no need to rev a 30det past 7000-7500 we send ours to 8000 with possibility to 8500 cause it just keeps making power. Sometimes having a wider powerband helps. -
If you do actually help the motorsport situation in qld then good for you and id be grateful towards you for it. I only attended the event with a friend because he wanted me to come with. I already race in aasa and cams events....ive never been a fan of motorkhana events as such...but hey i went and gave it a try and it was not how i expected it to be. The last skid pan event i went to was at Mt Cotton before they made all the new changes, so i guess my expectations were abit high. I apologise if you took what i said the wrong way. My personal experience with it will be different to the next guys one, but the fact that i didnt enjoy it as much as i thought i would doesnt mean im bagging you or your organisation. But what from psi was saying they have a day with more drift like stuff going on which was more what i was expecting it to be like and it would probably be a good day. If i had more freetime to help out with motorsport I would, but working in a family business means very long days and hardly any weekend time to do what i want, plus working on our race car. Im flat out trying to attend cams, aasa and short circuit meetings. Good luck with your work up there. Hopefully one day the events will be how everyone wants them to be.

methanol maybe

I attended an event like that at Gympie skid pan when a toyota club held a day there...it wasnt very good. The people running the show didnt like you drifting or mucking around even if it was safe and non-stupid. It was timed events around witches cones in the wet. They said you can do what you want and have fun, but as soon as you did they wanted to kick you off the pad. Plus there was too many toyotas there at any one time for my liking. But if this is organised by a different company it could be really enjoyable.

Anybody Used The Fmic With Same Sided Entry And Exit?
r33_racer replied to benl1981's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
My younger brother had one on his r33 also. A PWR variety. For ease of installation and piping fab, it was pretty good with little modification required. However they bend into a nice 'U' shape when you hit a tree at about 80kph. -
just 256 8.5 poncams. So nothing too extroadinary. The head has a light port n polish on it to clean up the dags and rough spots.

well on 1.7 bar with our gt3040 .82 we made 375rwkws and 365rwkws on 1.5. After 1.5 it was starting to blow hot air and power wasnt increasing much as you can see. So i figured with this new motor, with the only differences to the old one is that its now got a dry sump system, gt3540 .82, and 4" exhaust. We should be able to crack if not get extremely close to 400rwkws. Am i being a little too optimistic?
-
ill let you know after monday when our 25/30 gets tuned with a 3540 .82 rear...were aiming for 400rwkws.

i already asked him...just waiting for a reply. See what he thinks on this matter. -
Rb30 Power Delivery, Should It Be Better? How?
r33_racer replied to Black_R33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I nearly finished the 4" system on ours and its a mission with space. But im really interested to see how it affects our knock and power. -
Richard Hammond Crash Footage
r33_racer replied to Spook's_Skyline's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yeh but im pretty sure they dont roll over at 288mph/463kph and then skid at 250mph/402kph. However i love 'Speeding kills' line at the end and then they focus on Richard...and hes perfectly fine...hehe. -
what sort of power is everyone expecting to get? Any rough ideas. Hey is this getting done in shoot out mode, cause our car doesnt get tuned in shoot out mode, so ive always been curious what the difference would be.

Whats The Quickest Rb Powered Car?
r33_racer replied to 600hp's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
It maybe a little harsh, but 1JZ.747 comments are almost always somehow related to toyota/toyota motors with some bagging of RB motors whether direct or indirect. I wonder if there are similar people on toyota forums who do the same thing? -
for the feb meet....17th and 18th i believe.
