Price drop $6000

Cheers. I dont know how big the standard size battery is, the one that is in there doesnt fit; it is too big for the bracket, and for the terminals. thanks for that predator and Chrisrotary

Has anyone purchased a battery recently?
-
The battery in my skyline has died, it was not a great fit anyway. When it was purchased a couple of years ago, it was the closest fit that was available at the time. I have searched the site, but the only relevant information i found is that they can be easily gotten. My predicament is that i do not have the original, and am unable to borrow one, so i need a part number or something to go by, to tell the local repco guys what i am after. Any and all help is appreciated

I know i am dragging this back from the dead, but it is relevant to my interests. My right hand front, rear subframe bush is leaking oil, so i assume that i am in the same situation. Does anyone have a link to the tutorial?

Can't Decide What Tow Vehicle To Buy
Mulkers replied to jrocket's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Get the same tow car as teh Rocco's performance mob. -
Can't be done, it used to be an option, but was removed (over ten years ago i think,) to help destroy the economy.

I know exaclty what you mean, i get paranoid when i see kids on the side of the road, and i am always looking out for them (there was none last friday morning). It is just like the TAC ads, expecting one of them to chase a bouncing ball. freaks me out.

I get that a week. money is not too much of a problem, unless i lose my job, and then it will be a really really big one. I figure, if i fight it, it will cost me $???? If i 'suck it up', fine ($220), Lost income (Over $10,000 up to, roughly $30,000 depending on how long it takes me to get another job), plus have to find money for bills etc. I think it is worth a shot. Thanks for all with the constructive help. Will be looking at that aussie speeding fines book very seriously.

P Plates; 5 points. 9 months ago, in my brothers ute, got done 3 points for "Obscured number plates". It is not like i have been driving unlicenced, or drink driving, or in a high speed chase or anthing like that.
-
Thanks, that is real comforting. sure that will pay the bills, feed me, and secure me another job, once the three months is up.

From my experience, the bigger they are, the easier they bend. and they do. they also ride rougher. 15" are where its at

Yeah, it was a hand held LIDAR. and hhe was in the middle of the road. Bad luck? If i had of done anything else it wouldn't of happened; gone another way, been 5 minutes earlier. anything. but cant change that. I have had heaps of bad luck. for about a week now. today i got home, and the hot water element is dead. that is the latest thing, there is heaps of others, things that wouldn't normally happen

Last thursday i stayed in town (obviously live out of town), at a mates place. Woke up at 7.50am the next morning, to catch another friend, who was going down to melbourne. Long story short, lost my licence (points) for doing 58kmh in a 60 zone, because it was 8.05 am; it was a school zone. The policeman was not wearing any high-vis clothing, despite low visibility, due to cloudiness etc. He did not have his hat on, nor were the lights on on his car, which was parked further up the road. He was almost the same colour as the road, and i didn't notice him, until he was standing in the road in front of the car i was following. (I was in the right lane, about to turn right) There are two school zones which lie on the main roads. The first is a 70 zone, with large (40) Signs, and flashing lights and flags, when it is school time. The other one has two signs, one of which is partially covered by a tree. I do not go to school, or have kids that go to school, and i am normally at work mon-thurs at that time, and not normally up that early fri/sat/sun. I do not have a clock in my car, and as it turns out, the children aren't allowed to be at the school until after 8.30 am, as school does not start until 9, and there is no adult supervision (ie teachers) until after 8.30. There was no excess traffic. No buses. No flags. No Children. No parked cars. I was doing the same speed as the rest of the traffic (except for a white ford econovan, which was going at least 10kmh faster.) but was the only one in the ten or so cars that were on that stretch of road, who had P Plates displayed. My car is pretty non-descript, and stealthy (Lexus LS400/Celsior, stocky) So i spoke to a silicitor today, and she said because it is a valid infringement, (albeit a really gay and unfair one,) my only grounds for contest are hardship (as i would lose my job), but that is not enough for a case. Is it just me, or is this really, really gay? ignorance is not an excuse, but 5 minutes? who actually determines what second that they begin? and why is their clock right? What do you think i should do. If i lose it, which it looks like i will, i dont know wtf to do. Some of you will say harden the f up, but you don't have to walk 40kms through the flat boring country side to get to work at 6am. What are your opinions? Should i see another solicitor?

VL water pump a direct replacement for R33?
Mulkers replied to benl1981's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)

must be one of the unlucky extremely few. Never heard of that. probably was becuase it was petrol. buying a petrol 4wd is like buying a mazda roadpacer. slow and horrendous on fuel. if the heater hose broke, the temp guage would read hot (for a short period of time), so there was a level of warning. what warning is there that 2 out of three commodore v6 coilpacks fail at 38000km conveniantly out of holden's stupidly low 35,000km warranty? hahaha! or when a v6 commodore is going to throw a rod? there is a thread on toymods called 'ls1, the new 2j?" there is a lad there who works for a holden dealership who has rebuilt 75 ls1s. in a dealership, you don't see too many v8s, and for that many to need to have full rebuilds, it just goes to show the quality of the motors. check out Rocco's performance's 2jz rx7 for toyota reliablity; 8 sec unopened 2jz na motor that has been turboed. yet to see any other na motor that can do that with bolt ons.
