  1. So it electronically removes the driving experience, and ejaculates boring bland uninspiring pain in to you. Awesome. Good thing they are so safe though. A heavy, torquey, powerful FWd would look bad if its regular crashes were fatal. The only reason i would buy a commodore or falcon (it's competitors) is for the engine lay out (north south), it's rwd, and to do cheap skids. If i wanted something economical, cheap, reliable, luxurious, and a level of exclusivity, i''d keep my 10's of thousands of dollars of depreciation, and get; cresta, cressida, celsior, chaser, mark II, Tourer, Cima, Cefiro, Gloria, Leopard, Soarer, etc, which are still a solid 20 years ahead of there aussie counterparts, meaning a 10y.o. Cima is light years ahead of falcodoores.
  2. Yes, it does not hunt when cold. Or when the AC is on.
  3. A rav4 is like the canyonero. Any slight curve in the road and it is at serious danger of rolling. Edit; Also likely to catch fire when rolled.
  4. Stepper motors can have over 200 different positions... but O.T. This is about the AAC Valve (I think,) I had a good look at that thread, and most inoformation was useful, but didn't solve the problem. What other reasons coudl there be for a unusually high idle?

  6. thanks paul. I'll check it out.
  7. Very interested. Do you have pics of inerior and engine bay? Does it come with rego (if so how much?) Does it come with rwc?
  8. So no one knows what could be going on?
  9. I have a hcr32 gtst typem rb20det with cooler, exhaust, locker, teins and a hicas lock. My car has begun hunting, and after running the diagnostic tool, (which showed little,) cleaning the afm, tps and aac valve, and resetting the ecu, i am beggining to become confused and i am after suggestions as to why this could occur. Does anyone know a 'normal' voltage or resistance for the AAC Valve? (as i beleive this is the source of the problem). Also, when the fan (ie ac) is turned on, the idle drops from 1900 (way too high, but high enough for it not to hunt,) to about 1100 rpm. This is what leads me to beleive that it is the AAC Valve. I have adjusted the idle, both at the AAC valve and the ecu, and it still idles way too high/ hunts. Short of replacing all involved components (and my life savings at a local nissan dealership) what other suggestions do you have? BTW, I have already searched, and the most common problems (TPS, AFM, AAC Valve etc) were dealt with
  10. Make a rwd, 6 speed manual with a ... 3jzgte (3 for greater than 3 litre; ie 4 Litre ) Make it weigh less than 1400 kg, and cost less than its competitors, and i will buy the first 50,000. Ps Has to look Sh!t hot, and have a coupe variant. Also, V config engines are gay. Straight config engines are straight

  19. I am a mech, and work at a roady specialist. Most things are checked to be secured and present; ie emissions gear to appear to be present; cat, stovepipe, charcoal canister etc. All loose items; sub, stereo etc, are to be secure, as it the battery. They largely look at leaks, bushes, ball joints, unis, tyres, brake pads, disc rotor thickness etc.
  20. All are welcome to attend and/or enter the drift at winton on july 15. $15 spectator entry, $140 driver entry for members $160 for non members. Good times shall be had by all. for more info, visit www.vicdrift.com

  22. IT's funny that the order they are in (by percentages) is the opposite to how the government thinks they are saving the road toll, and it is the order of problems that need to be attacked. Did any one see the hoon stories on friday night??? The last comment was "Young... people should not be allowed on the roads" WTF??? Here's a bulletproof solution to reducing road toll for people below 30; life imprisonment for anyone caught driving under the age of 30. end rant.

  24. Best bet is to talk to people you know. My parents are on good terms with a few mechanics, and salespersons, and they were happy to help me out. Also, registering with a job network like workways or cvgt or something can help a lot.
