  1. There have been at least 12 occasions in the last 48 hours where i have undertaken people (this is illegalish - 1000 pound fine in the uk, but in aus, has little consequence), as well as 5 other seperate occasions where somone has pulled out in front of me, and then pulled half off of the road to let me pass. Why the F*!!! did they pull out in the first place. None of the above are l platers, p platers, or young drivers, but so called experienced, mature drivers. Poor liscensing, a lack of re-education of drivers who have had their liscene for years, sub quality roads (in my council especially, some others aren't as bad), poor roadworthy requirements (a blocked windscreen washer is illegal, but cars with poor brakes, often driven by police,) lazy line painting by council workers, and various other problems that could easily be solved without a multi million dollar 'going 1 kmh over the speed limit will kill you and all your loved ones' campaign, but with a little common sense and logic. (often not associated with police/politicians) end rant
  2. This was from a police report that was published in the age and the sun
  3. Gee! Why don't you marry one! jk. Nice car though, good luck with the sale
  4. Vicdrift have secured a practice day at winton for march the 11th. Details can be found hyar; Vic Drift for members (join if you are interested) alternatively; Nissan Silvia
  5. No it wont. Lots of chop chop. Even with a typem front bar; alot of chop chop
  6. This is why they are going turbo; the boss won't fit, without extensive mods, so turbo is here to stay
  7. If you poke it, and the next thing you are sitting still in someones front yard; airbags deflated, front bar smashed up, all in the space of a millisecond, then you almost have enough power
  8. Welcome. I am glad to see an appreciation of the value-for-money and performance that these cars offer, as opposed to the ususal v8 mantra; big blcok + high stall + 9 inch... anyways... Some basic mods would be to free up the exhaust; front and dump pipe, a high flow cat, and a cat back. Good quality, quiet(er) ones can be had for ~ $1000. A front mount intercooler, and a boost controller would be the next move, or possibly an upgrade to the ecu or turbo. Also, a suspension upgrade, such as fully adjustable coilovers, will give great results to handling, and fun factor. Weaknesses of rb20dets include; coilpacks, ceramic exhaust wheel of the turbo... not too much else, until things get serious. The R32 turbo should be good, as it's wastegate actuator is set at roughly 10 psi, as well as it is larger than the r31's. Do you have any pics? Good luck with your car, enjoy!
  9. One of my good friends sometimes droveh his coke can low e30 325 coupe. It always scraped on the way out
  10. Yeah it is awesome ; Contend the fine. If it is not processed through court in some time perioid (6 or 12 months, can't remember), then it is dismissed. If it is dealt with; You can plead guilty, and pay the fine + court costs, complete waste of everyones' time. Or plead innnocent, found guilty; pay fine +court costs Or plead innocent, succesfully contest and have the infringement revoked.
  11. My uncle had a TC Cortina with a worked 351. He sold it when the chassis twisted. I have my 32 gtst, (just finished y12, had car for 6 months,) My little bro has a drfit 86. It's gunna be hilarious seing him drift in to Vic Roads to take his tests and lessons.
  12. Yeah ^^ I knew they had one engine that is far too underpowered. I am one of few people i know with a thirty two, on my p's, but i know of at least 10 local 33 P Platers. Cops pulled me up the other night and checked under my bonnet. They only looked at whether or not it was a 2 litre or a 2.5 Kind of weird, as if you had an R32 GTS with the RB25de, or an R33 GTS with said engine, they may overlook they whole turbo tihingy.... anyways the point still stands turbo 33's are illegal
  13. Trevor Simpkin (???) Automotive in Shepparton have recently gotten a dyno. I don't know details yet. May be worth giving them a ring. Btw, i got his details from Andrew Vibert, the guy who owns Central Vic Auto Parts in Shep. His details are in an add on toymods.net
  14. As above, and then, on teh back of the ticket it should have details and a time period for you to announce you will be contesting the offence in court.
  15. cops will do you for a 33. they have recently been given specific instructions. r32 - 158kw/1260kg = illegal for 1989-1991 coupes r32 - 158kw/1290kg = legal for 1989 -1993 sedans and 1991 -1993 coupes. The weights were changed in 1991. Most R33's are illegal, except for the very few that came with rb20dets, not 25dets. btw, a simple search, on google or this own site, would answer this query. Also, most Skyline P Platers are driving illegally
  16. It is 25mm past the largest stock rim for your model. ie an executive commodore can have 19's because the SS has 18s. so with an r33, the largest wheel you could legally have would be 18's (?) But as mentioned, not too many care
  17. Have you reset the ecu? Just a thought, could't harm anything if it is a fault in the programming or something
  18. i did one, here; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=99823
