  1. Hi... I'll be up for a set for an R33 GTS-T. Please PM the details to me. Thanks
  2. I'm in the planning stages of upgrading brakes and I want to change the rubber lines to braided ones. As part of the process I'll likely be changing the front rotors on the GTST for larger "GTR" sized front rotors. I'm probably going to keep the stock callipers and just use an adapter to space them out accordingly. With the callipers spaced out slightly further, will a set of "GTST" braided lines still be okay? The only potential problem I see is the length, as the calliper will be out slightly further. I'm sure someone out there has done this before!
  3. Hi guys. I can now confirm that it is possible to fit the later model (R34 style) CAS on a pre Sep '97 build R33. This is of course assuming you made the same mistake as me and bought the "series 2" Tomei Poncams. The only catch is that a couple of wires have to be switched around on the loom. My tuner sorted this for me and I haven't had a chance to look at the wiring to see what's been swapped but if anyone needs the same help I can certainly pass on the tuner's details.
  4. IN .... by default again I see Hope I don't end up in Canberra this time!
  5. You drove 1400km already! Isn't that more than you ever drove the 34? Congrats on the purchase mate. It's tidy now.. look forward to seeing what you make of it
  6. Picked mine up from the post office this morning. Thanks Pete.. it looks good
  7. IN .... though I see it didn't even have to be said!
  8. Awesome! That'll save me a lot of trouble. Thanks for the lightning quick response too!
  9. Hi Paul, Got a question that I'm hoping you'll be able to answer for me. Would late model R33 GTS-T's (post sep 97, early 98) use exactly the same PowerFC as the earlier model R33 GTS-T's? My reason for this question is related to the change in CAS on the late model 33's. I've basically got a set of "series 2" Tomei Poncams with an R34 CAS to match. I'm now wondering if this CAS will work with the ECR33 PowerFC that I soon plan to install. If all PowerFC's for the ECR33 were the same then in theory it should work as the post sep97 r33's came out with the different (r34 style) CAS. *fingers crossed* Thanks! P.S. I have called a couple of tuners and they're not sure either.
  10. I'm close to doing mine but with work keeping me so busy lately lets just say it's not going to be done in a hurry. With the CAS it was just pure luck. A mate of mine who had an R34 sold it and had a CAS spare so he sold it to me. From what I hear though the CAS ain't cheap at all. If I hadn't of got my hands on this one I would have just bought the other cams. I'll keep you posted anyway if I find out anything else.
  11. Hi Dave... I'm stuck in the same situation as you I've managed to get my hands on a 34 CAS and I know it physically fits okay with the "series 2" R33 poncams. All I want confirmed is whether the electrical connection from the R34 style CAS will work with an R33 GTS-T powerFC. In theory I'm thinking it should because the late model R33's (sep97 onwards) would still use the same powerFC (that's only my assumption though). Can any confirm this?
  12. Brilliant dinner! The food was bloody awesome! Thanks Kris for organising .. that's going to hard to top that effort. Pics I took are all below. Enjoy
  13. Kris.. can you change my +1 into a +2 please.
  14. IN! and +1 I've been looking forward to trying this place out for a while now. Can't wait!
  15. I really want in on this but the only thing stopping me is the car itself! Still waiting on repair to a gasket after Wakefield (I know it's a simple fix but I've had absolutely no time to look at it). I'll be able to confirm closer to the date.
  16. LOL.. that was me who loaned you the helmet! I see you're just as good as remembering names as I am Glad you had fun out there mate
  17. What a great day! As my first track day I absolutely loved it, even though the damn turbo gasket did decide to blow Thanks to everyone involved in both organising and running the whole day. It couldn't have run any smoother. A big thanks to Kel and Duncan who were kind enough to share their knowledge with me. It was invaluable. Liz and Adam, you guys are nuts around the track but I learnt a lot whilst in the passenger seat and had heaps of fun at the same time! Can't wait till the next one
  18. Pretty sure they would. I don't think there's any difference in the garnish between GTR's and GTS-T's. I've seen these things in person and they look fantastic! Better than the factory ones you can get which light up green. Hope you haven't forgotten my order Nick
  19. Daammmn. Sorry to hear that mate. I was really looking forward to seeing your car tearing around the track.
  20. Here's a few for you Awesome car mate
  21. Spotted a silver R33 series 2 going eastbound on the M2 this afternoon. Fairly stock looking car although it had a GTR style wing on it. Waved and beeped and whoever you are waved and beeped back
  22. Anna, put me down for another spot. I've got a mate coming along. You'll have payment in just a minute!
  23. Bought it from Parra since the price was the same (if I remember right). Plus Sydney City is closed on Sundays.
  24. Yep.. what Mona said. I checked out a few stores in Parra today around church street and pretty much found the same helmets that Sydney City Motorcycles had. Picked up an MDS helmet (which I hear is quite common among the track day crowd) for $119. Even without a discount that's a decent price.
