Matt, you typo n00b! You got a few typos. E.g. "Portrature" is correctly spelt "Portraiture". Some of the article is kind of forcing them as in there is no other option for e.g. "You should". Convince the reader that you stand out from the 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 other photographers out there. Bullying them is one way haha. I think it would be more enjoyable to read if it was more on a personal level also. This is just a bit of what you wrote and i by no means have tried to sound awesomely journalistic. Besides that, it sounds good! Rhys - Light painting is fun. Charge that light up and give it a go at full power. You can only learn by doing it more and more. Try to diffuse it with a softbox or a sheet to start out if you dont have a softbox/light is awkwardly shaped.

I really wanted to take photos NYE of fireworks but at the last second ditched the camera bag. Cbf carrying around a heavy ass back and getting searched all the time. I suggest that you use the mirror lockup function and use the 2 or 10 second timers that way even if you do press the shutter it will have time to settle. Bare in mind you probably had tonnes of people around you causing vibrations which would not help at all if you didnt have a super exxy tripod that was super secure Rhys - Looks like your light painting shots have the right technique, just that the light isn't bright enough. Were you trying multiple exposures and blending them in photoshop or just one long photo trying to paint everything? Would like to comment on your photo chaser33sum but i can't view it at work. Get a proper flash and bounce it. Use a tripod, bounce the flash straight up, off the left wall, off the right wall and behind you. Add them all together in post making a composite. It does look really poorly lit. Go out in day time, shoot something in A (Aperture mode) at like F5.6 -F8 and then post it up. Then we can rule out camera errors/front/back focusing etc... and put it down to the user. Shooting in really badly lit environments does your head in especially when your just starting out. Don't expect great things out of the built in flash either. They are rubbo!

That's the Jap drifting event over the whole weekend, it's 24/7, looks awesome! People just buy like $10 shitboxes and drift them/crash them hahaha it would be awesome! If only we had reg's like that here

I swear i've seen a photo of a fish tank in the boot from some car at Autosalon??????? How the hell do you feed them and stuff? I assume it's only for show and it all gets ripped off if they ever decide to drive the car.
