  3. theres a boost control solenoid inline with the wastegate actuator line with r33/r34 skylines. the standard actuator is set to something like 5 psi, and to achieve the higher boost (is it 7psi?) it will bleed off a bit of the air. atleast in s15s, you don't get full boost in 1st gear. this may not be the case in r34s/r33s. r32s run on wastegate actuator only. (which is set to ~10)
  4. uh, i wouldn't be running an ecu tuned for bigger injectors + regulator with standard ones, it'll run lean and the timing may cause problems too, if its tuned to run lots of advance until the turbo is making boost, running a standard turbo which will be on boost slightly earlier will lead to detonation.
  5. if it was done by GCG it'd have a plaque on it that says "GCG TURBOCHARGERS". should be near the oil feed at the top. also if its GCG they claim 450hp for both rb20 and rb25
  6. i've got 650cc sard injectors in my rb20det got a highflowed r33 turbo in it, works fine, 700cc injectors in a rb26 would be ok i'd imagine because the powerfc is pretty good at controlling big injectors also if you are interested i have some brand new 550cc nismo injectors that i never used, i bought them for my car but ended up going the sards instead. pm me and and i can do you a good deal on them.
  7. mine have done like 15,000kms and 4 trackdays and still have tread they are definately good value, but i nothing exceptional
  8. i don't think its necessary unless the rotors are warped of course, i run pads which chew the rotors anyway few thousand kms and they've self machined
  9. if you run a bit rich no cat will be a dead giveaway to any cop who has a sense of smell also the clouds of smoke and flames
  10. i've got a r32 with pfc, however i don't have gtr injectors (i actually have 650cc sards) but i get 400km per tank driving to work and back which is moderate traffic ~45minutes to cover 30 km with some freeway stuff thrown in and sensible right foot used to get about 440km per tank before the pfc/injectors/new turbo

  12. have you bleed the brakes properly? bedding in procedures should be included with the brake pads somewhere, though not all pads require bedding in
  13. i don't think you'd be losing that much fuel through evaporation you'd be talking what, 10 litres, of evaporation i doubt it

  15. spook i have no canister and i can get a bit over 400km with normal driving (which includes a bit of boost) i got 350km last tank and that included a whole lot of boosting over glorious can you pull up o2 sensor readings on your pfc? have you cleaned your afm recenty?
  16. i've heard the r32 front suspension is pretty average for double wishbone but surely the s13 gear is worse
  17. i had a constant clicking sound it was one of the vents in the aircon system not closing quite properly, and it'd keep trying forever click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click

  19. i found turning off my boost controller gave me extra kms a tank i also found driving much more boring cause i never hit boost
  20. i get about 400 to ~48litres, i've never run it till the light comes on however since my mercury tune i've been blowing more smoke than a woodstock festival and people who drive behind me complain of stinging eyes also i get loud backfires from shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd about half the time however i just give whoever i just scared a wink like i meant it

  22. removing the charcoal canister won't change fuel consumption all it does is stop fuel vapours being vented to the atmosphere without going through the engine they are feed back into the engine on cruise

  24. the profec used 2 pressure sources, one is tapped off the fuel reg, the other comes from before the IC the one off the fuel reg is used for readings
