  1. Mate, if you don't want more than 250rwkw I'd go the walboro. Something I don't really like about them is they're smaller than the stock pump?? This is what other people have said though- don't take my word on that as I've never see one in the flesh. This might not mean anything though as walboro'd have to be newer technology than the stock ten year old skyline pumps. I'm going the bosch though - extra 150 bucks but gives more headroom for future mods. If you want to know the flow rates on bosch pumps just do a bosch 044 search. There's a few posts there that show the flow rates of all the bosch pumps. Of the top of my head the 044 is good for 730 hp Cheers!
  2. Personally I'd like it to be what the heading states: Parts Number Section. If we start going the DIY turn your r33gtst into a GTR I think it will get pretty complicated! Opinions will most probably differ - I doubt there's that many people here that will end up doing such big conversions. Maybe if people want this we can make a conversions section too? My dad and I have installed rb20det's into two cars now - a vH commodore and a r31 skyline so we'd have something to add. I was reading through the general maintenance section a couple of days ago and saw another bloke post some gtr part numbers. These will end up going to page two etc etc until you have to do a search through all the other threads to get what you want. Anyway - that's my opinion - a part numbers section, with the guidelines predator posted-up - edit all the BS out. Cheers
  3. From what I can see the plug on your factory computer doesn't look anything like a factory nissan one.
  4. When my dad and I installed a rb20 into a commodore. Couldn't get over the build quality of nissan - if the engines are this good then I've got to get a car! Next - got a silvia because I couldn't afford a skyline - but hated the 4cyl sound. Not as refined also I reckon. Now : got a '33! Cheers
  5. Just get two of them - would be pretty cool!
  6. Cv joint on the IRS??? Had the same noise happen on my silvia turbo a few days before I sold it - didn't fix in the end but I'm sure that's what it was in my case.
  7. Gidday, Surely we can get 10 skyliners in the Brissy area to get these pumps. I know what you mean by postage etc - it'd be a lot easier if everyone could just pick up and pay - no stuffing around with banking/postage. Cheers!
  8. Hi SK, Have you got any piccys of the deflector on the car yet? Cheers!
  9. There's a bloke called Phat32 who wrote into the group buys section who says he can get them for $325. There hasn't been many reponses though - don't think many people want to go as big as an 044. I thought you could mount a 044 internally - have read on a few of the forums here about blokes mounting them in tank - looks like it's a bit of a hassle as they're pretty big but can be done??? Anyway - if anyone here has got any practical experience in fitting one of these please enlighten us! Cheers edit: Just did a search and yes, quite a lot of people have mounted 044's in tank.
  10. Saw an interesting article in a magazine here in england. Involved a sierra cosworth group A, running 28 psi boost. They tested six different intercoolers, measuring pressure drop and cooler inlet/outlet temps. The results? All six were that close it didn't matter. One even had rectangular end tanks, which I though would give the worst result, but was up there with the others. I was amased at how much intercoolers actually cool the air too - turbo outlet was around 180 degrees, intercooler outlet 38 degrees on a 20 degree temp day. So - I reckon the best intercooler to get for a mild tune (below 300rwkw) is one which is neat, as big as you can go and affordable. Cheers
  11. Anyone here bought a bosch fuel pump lately? Just wondering where from and how much? I am looking at the bosch 044, and also at doing a group buy if it can be done more cheaply and anyone's interested. Cheers!
  12. That sound allright, I haven't done much here - been pretty hectic at college. Will try over the next few days - that sounds like a good price though so I'm in if you want a number for the ten! Cheers
  13. Hi all, Just want to see if there are many people here who want to get a big bosch fuel pump? Saw all the interest involved with the walboro pump group buy - I didn't end up going through with it as I want to go further in power outputs than the walboro can deliver. I don't have anything to offer as yet - at the moment I'm overseas in England but will be in Aus in jan - will need a pump by then though as I want to dyno. Just want to see how many people are interested as my dad's in QLD and can do some looking around. I can't do much more than look on the internet here - I will try to get in contact with some dealers over the next few days. The pump? I was looking at the biggest that'd fit in a r33 - I believe it's the 044? Any help/input would be great - just thought it'd be a bit of an idea as I've got a bit of time on my hands at the moment as I wait for college results to come back. Cheers!
  14. The exhaust on my '33 has a blended dumppipe (seperate wastegate pipe, very neat), hi flow 3'' cat, full manderal bent 3''system, 7'' rear muffler ( look sweet) , silver ceramic coated dump and front section down to cat - all done for $1600 at exotic exhausts in Brisbane last november. Drive it in, pick it up in the arvo. Sounds a lot better, and even better, goes better! Cheers!
  15. Hi Prank, In your suggestion can we do what predator (below) has suggested? Sorry, I'm a bit computer illeterate - only just worked out how to download photos! I think a lot of people agree that it gets pretty annoying going through all the non-related talk when doing a search for something. The sooner the better I reckon - in the upcoming few months I'll be doing a lot of work on my '33 - ie g/box bearings, clutch etc, so hope to add some helpful information. Cheers!
  16. Thanks for the replies fellas, Looks like I'll just do what I did years ago on my silvia for heater hoses- pull them all off and take them to repco to find some from other cars that are fittable. Summer's here - my silvia's heater hose burst in the middle of summer years ago - luckily I was standing in front of the car and saw water coming out! Cheers!
  17. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone here's changed radiator/heater hoses in Brissy area lately? I've been told you can get radiator hoses cheaply but heater hoses? Just wondering prices and where from? This is for a series 1 '33 turbo. Thanks!
  18. Good news mate! The other bit's a bugger - I assume you mean little hoses as heater hoses? Or did you replace everything ie all the little ones on the mainifold etc.? When I did all the little heater hoses on the silvia I was quoted hundreds of dollars - after waiting months I got the sh@ts and took them all off and went to repco - it only took fifteen minutes to find hoses or sections of hoses you had to trim that matched. But that was years ago. Did you get all the little hoses genuine form nissan? Cheers
  19. Hi Joel How much did you pay for your heater hoses? I'll be doing my radiator hoses definately at that price! I looked around a few places in Brisbane but gave up - my bad experiences years ago probably had a bit of influence on giving up. Good to see some places are making an effort to sell parts at affordable prices.
  20. How much did the hub cost? Will have to do this not too far away - I talked to a bloke who did his '33's front hubs - got them imported from japan - cost over $300? Put me off a bit.
  21. I've now put this idea in the ideas/feedback/bugs section, if anyone wants to add anything.
  22. I put a rb20det into a vh commo. If you want a cheap fast commo just go a supercharged v8 - don't muck around. You'll need something light if you want to go quick with a rb25det ie datsun 1200??? Silvia????
  23. Definately Years ago I used vpcommodore/camira heater hoses on my ca18 det silvia - I know it's not a skyline but hell - new hoses cost me only 25 bucks!..... And they were identical. Cheers fellas
