  1. Everything has pretty much been covered already all i'd add is take it easy on the track - you won't get a 2008 F1 drive by impressing anyone at the track and don't go out in the last open session of the day (this is generally when everyone pushes their car that little bit more coz it's their last bit of track time and end up breaking something).
  2. Do not all cars get a compliance plate? I'm about to purchase a gtr that is registered but has no compliance plate (does have compliance papers/certificate though).
  3. If it wasn't for BJ constantly rolling his car and KJ having regular brain farts nobody would even know who BJR are.
  4. How old is your slave cylinder? (underneath on driver side of gearbox) I fitted a new slave cylinder, fresh clutch fluid and had it all bled and it was like I just had a brand new clutch fitted, that's how big of difference it made.
  5. Could you fix the pics please? (nismo frontpipe)
  6. Bring it down and pose with it ya p00f
  7. Why has nobody posted any pics of the promo chicks? Geeze what u all go there for, cars or something...
  8. UniGroup was the first ever workshop I went to for an SAU dyno day many years ago. Their attention to detail and professionalism is quite rare in the industry. Edit: I've also been to JEM for a dyno tune but dont have any other experience with them.
  9. Their are plenty of pics available in the drag section titled 'August 12th' (2006) or something like that. When I got my car home the only visual damage inside the cabin was the plastic foot rest had popped off it's bracket. After we removed the entire dash, pulled the carpet back we could see that the firewall had taken a massive pounding from the gearstick forward and the 4wd prop shaft had been lodged 2 inches up into the driver side floor pan directly below my left leg (had to hit it with a hammer to remove it). The passenger inner metal guard between the strut tower and firewall (where the ABS + wiper motor is) does not exist, it was ripped clean out along the welds. A piece of metal (unsure whether it was flywheel, guard, bellhousing or something else) ended up 50m away in the crowd and the only physical piece of flywheel I have left is the size of a 20c piece. I won't make another appearance at a drag strip until I have a good aftermarket clutch and flywheel and at minimum a ballistic blanket around the gearbox. I had approx 550bhp and a single plate clutch (Jim Berry - best clutch i've ever used) and it still happened. I'm sure that if I was using a cheap crappy clutch it wouldn't have lasted the ~35x 8000rpm launches I did and I would have had to replace it with something better and replaced the flywheel at the same time which may have prevented all of this happening.
  10. Probably still picks up more women than half of us
  11. I guess you could say we have: B-Man'd (engine) BenM'd (drags) Barron'd (circuit)
  12. I don't know as i've never been there (you would think they do as they do the emissions) but if they don't then they would definitely know somebody that does. Many competent exhaust shops can give you a reading but how legal that reading is I wouldn't know. Maybe a regular Blueslip mechanic can do it?
  13. He would do more for the sport behind a mic than he ever could do behind the wheel, personally I think he should have retired 5yrs ago.
  14. Meh the rear end is so overrated!
  15. Ring the Penrith RTA/Emissions Station.
  16. That's the simplest answer. I did approx 35x 7000-8000rpm launches (about 30 of those at a prep'd drag track) in my R32 GTR in 8mths without any issues (best feeling in the world) but #36 has cost me about ~$15,000 (flywheel shattered, ruined my firewall, chassis rail, engine, gearbox, inner guards etc etc - the car is effectively a write-off) and has very likely put me permanently out of the import 'game'. It's always the weakest link that goes first (naturally) but their is always a weakest link. Upgrade your slipping clutch then 1st gear goes, fix first and your axles break, fix the axles and the diffs go and so on.
  17. I believe it's slightly further than that as 10yrs ago when I used to play golf (seriously) I used to hit my PW 130m accurately so i'd say it's close to 150m. I've been going there for about ~16yrs when I was just a young lad (used to live 200m from it at the back paddock and my golf coach worked there so gave me free buckets).
  18. If you haven't already - replace your rear subframe bushes, costs about $110 + labour. That will make the rear squat down better and give you a more respectable time.
  19. If you wanna piss off a bike rider (dont do it to bikies tho) when you pull up at a set of lights (on a 2 lane road) sit as close to the center line as you can so they can't fit between you and the car beside you. Man that gets them fuming!
  20. Well that took all of 17 seconds: http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/Regist...egistration.htm
  21. I believe 160 was factory. For an 18yo car this is in very very good condition, I spent an hour looking at it the other night
  22. It's all smack talk so the general public believe the police are doing something about the problem.
  23. The shoes on your feet move you faster than that Ferrari would (ie; it's all show and doesn't go)
