Their were no standout times, 2 or 3 cars were in the 12's the rest were 13-15sec. Every 2nd LS1 was into the mid 11's with the help of an auto and a turbo/supercharger. In other words we got absolutely spanked by the LS1's which have become really good consistent cars now that they have discovered forced induction.

Just got my hands on a sample mkv file of what i'll be watching for the entire 2007 season (itv telecast). It has 4 independent windows, top left is camera angle 1 (its blank for the screenshot only - don't know why) bottom left is camera angle 2, top right is track info (temperatures, location of cars, track status etc) and bottom right is the timing page with driver positions and sector times etc. Probably the most fascinating way of watching the race, just means i'll have to watch ch10's coverage first then this format 2 days later (takes that long for the person to create it).

The documentary that is being shown this afternoon (McLaren - Chasing The Dream) is certainly worth watching, I watched it last night. It goes for an hour and gives good background info on Lews Hamilton, Alonso moving to McLaren and the launch of the new cars earlier this year.

The best thing about the Australian GP is live coverage So for Ch10 we have: Friday: 1:00pm-4:30pm Saturday: 10:00am-5:00pm Sunday: 10:00am-5:00pm = 17.5hrs of coverage (or in other words time to clear out about 60gb of hdd space)

Here I was thinking it was just ~10 lap sprint races not time trial type driving. Generally how many cars attend? What classes are their? Costs to compete etc? (I cant any websites with info? which is prob why i've never attended these events)
