  1. I assume someone is taking a bbq?
  2. I agree with the Beer Baron. /clears hdd space ready to start recording....
  3. Regardless of what the weather is like at home before you leave, take both a jumper and a raincoat. Not only is the weather different every 5km in the mtn's but it also changes every 5mins.
  4. No i'll be at the summernats, besides I work up in the mtns every day so sorta seen enough of it Their isn't much 98 octane fuel in the mtns either so make sure u get a full tank before leaving home.
  5. Thier is parking for probably around 20 odd cars in the small off-road carpark. However you can park along both sides of the road which is a very quiet road. Shops are about 500m from the Lake (at the highway) and their is also a small park with playing equipment if anyone is taking kids.
  6. Fri nites are finished for 2006.
  7. They do make cars that arent worth a quarter of a million to buy, you just have to wait 15yrs for the used price to drop.
  8. That's not likely to change anytime soon either. All those top Holden drivers have proven themselves over the past 10yrs.... Skaife, Tander, Kelly Brothers, they all have Championship or Bathurst/Sandown wins between them like they are going out of fashion. Then you look at the very few top ford drivers that are still trying to prove themselves... Lowndes (in a ford), Bright, Winterbottom, Whincup. Sure they can all drive but they are still all trying to win something for themselves instead of sacrifice points/wins to let other Ford drivers/teams win.
  9. Beer Baron wants u to post pics of the he-she.

    Summernats

I know it does but couldn't u just put it on a flatbed and drive that around the events instead... that thing is too nice and clean to get dirty or smoke some tyres

    Summernats

I'ma slit my wrists there if u take that thing on the grass events or go-2-whoa etc!
  12. Still a better paintjob than Lowndes` car!
  13. Well except for this: http://www.tripleeight.com.au/news.cfm?newsitem=409.0
  14. I wonder if CL will win it this time on foxsports...
  15. Ugh of all the races over the years you have to pick 1 that has Brad Jones commentating ewwww! Then again he is a better commentator than driver so maybe that's where he should stay. Some races I think he deliberately retires just so he can run up to the commentator box and plug his sponsors.
  16. Maybe he was trying to preserve his tyres so that he had a good selection for the final race 3?
  17. Whats to say he wasn't just preserving his tyres and brakes thru the middle of that race ready to go hard in the last 5 or so laps? Their is no law that says the drivers have to drive 11/10ths for 100% race distance (Bathurst is a good example of this).I'm not suggesting that this was the case im just stating that their are many reasons why a driver can suddenly pickup or lose 1sec/lap (especially after just being black flagged).
  18. Why bother picking them up? Just leave them where they are and finish the job
  19. I guess i'll just follow you around and take all the attractive girls that you knock back...
  20. Wouldn't that just add weight?
  21. The only reason Tander didn't win the championship was because of a burnt clutch at Bathurst.
  22. Ford Motorsport Manager Ray Price: “We felt we were hard done by,” Mr Price said. “We believe that there is probably a difference between a racing incident that may cost a race win or a meeting win is different to one that costs a Championship.” This bloke needs to go jump. Every incident should be treated the same regardless of whether its the first or last race of the season and regardless of who is winning or losing the championship.
  23. Todd doesn't go 'wide' or 'deep' into the corner (if he did he wouldn't have made the apex) he is on the racing line where Lowndes would have been if he wasn't blocking Rick Kelly. Lowndes out-braked himself and had nowhere to go but into the side of Todd Kelly's car.
  24. Call of the day "See you in 5 laps" said by the Triple8 manager to Lowndes after his 3rd pitstop to change the worn front tyres
