  1. Duncan by the time you come in for an engine change the race will be over. What you need is 3 gtr's so when you break 1 you just slide into the next car and keep going...

  3. Was it EC charging or the event organisers though? I'm happy to part with some cash to watch if its going to the event organiser to help cover costs but if its just EC (or OP) cashing in on the event then that is wrong.

  5. This has only happened to me at EC, at OP you just hand over $10 and they go quiet pretty quickly.

Regarding the 'can I be a spectator' sometimes at the entry gate their is an official that gets you to sign a disclaimer (racing is dangerous mmmkay) and they will ask what your intentions are, 3 or 4 times over the past year I have just said 'spectator' and they tried to deny me access because no spectators were allowed (ie 1000 people camping on the fence) so just say you are helping a mate in the pits,

  10. Yup he said he could do it (said he built Dan's 25/30) and also has a spare rb30 block but just not sure if I should go to an engine specialist with more experience due to the importance of getting it 100% right and all the custom work required.
  11. I'm happy to go 26/30 with 2530's, all I need is the RB30 + conversion parts, the rest is there. Actually all I need is an engine builder that can do the whole thing for me

  15. I've flicked over the first 50 pages of this thread in the past 2hrs but now im just completely confused. I have a damaged 1994 R32 GTR RB26DETT with 81,000km completely internally standard running very nicely (324awkw @ 20psi running rich) just with Tomei Cams and 2530's. My block needs replacing due to a shattered bellhousing which ruined the bolt threads so I need to replace the block regardless. I can get a bored/honed Rb26 block for around $500, forged pistons, cyo'd rods, new oil and water pump and bolt it all back up. The other option would be the 26/30 combo but im unsure exactly what I need to get/do to make it all work. My target is 400awkw (mainly drag with some circuit fun) obviously it won't be run at 400kw all day everyday just on those special occassions (its a weekend car anyway). The idea of more torque and less boost appeals to me. I have zero mechanical skills and knowledge so basically want a list of what I need to do so I can work out which path to take.

  20. If he was smacking the field about winning most races with a massive points lead I could possibly see him retiring but he's been fighting for the last few championships and I don't think he's about to give up yet. F1 will be rather dull without MS that's for sure!
