Anything can be fixed at a price, all it takes is time.

All over red rover. Got it towed to the mechanics today and put it up on the hoist, i've never seen 3 mechanics so speechless in all my life. Chassis rail, firewall, block, sump, front and dump pipes are all very damaged and any nearby hoses, wires, lines etc are all ruined. Actual gearbox looks fine but bellhousing is gone and not 1 single piece of flywheel left.

It's all good, i was just gonna capture/upload it for anybody that missed it but it seems most people caught it on tv anyway.

Suggestion; don't tell ring your dad whilst at the v8 supercars to give him instructions on how to setup the hdtv software to record. I don't know if it was a pack of 35 v8's screaming past or just his old age but somehow it just didnt happen Ah well I was there both days to see it live

I was talking to Jim Berry (from Race Clutch) earlier today and he said to definitely avoid these. I'm not sure why but he plays with these things all day every day. Maybe give him a call if you have any questions.

Taking it in next tue/wed for gearbox out (and engine if required) so we can workout exactly how much damaged was caused.

Semi-slicks are generally circuit tyres. Drag Radials are for drag racing. Both have a completely different built type, the semis have stiff sidewalls and the drag radials have very very soft sidewalls to give that flex for the traction. Get a set of 300zx or 32 gtr rims and buy some M/T or BFG drag radials. PM me if you are in Sydney and interested in 300zx rims with Nitto Drag Radials.

Couple of pics I took last nite

Nothing like a nite out at the WSID for some entertainment! First run was a 12.5sec @ 110mph which went smoothly (although slow). Second run, light went green and before I was even thrown back into the seat I hear the loudest bang i've ever heard in my life and come to a stop 40m up the track. I knew straight away what had happened and was just thankful that both legs were still intact. Appears the flywheel has had a major heart attack and shattered into a million pieces revealing the entire driver side of the gearbox/bellhousing lucky all the chunks of metal burried themself in the dragstrip and then shot out the passenger side. It bounced off my frontpipes up through the firewall behind the rear turbo taking out all my AC lines and everything in its path then through the inner guard behind the suspension tower and exited the car next to the blinker meaning that now my front guard is more pumped than my rear guard. I have bits of metal and twisted bolts all through my engine bay, no idea if the engine is damaged. Had afew people tell me that they had bits of metal land near them in the grandstand. I don't have any decent pics of the car yet because my camera phone sucks in bad lighting but below are some pics of the leftover bits n pieces (Thanks 2rismo). Oh well that's racing!

I think RBR will offer much more than Williams can currently offer and will be able to offer in 2007. I can't see Williams going from the 2nd worst performing team 1 year to a top 4 team (ferrari, renault, mclaren, williams) the year after, it just doesn't happen in Formula unless the rest of the field is asleep for 10mths of the year. As Roy has already mentioned their is alot happening at RBR with only more on the way. What's happening at Williams apart from Broken cars returning to the factory? Webber is a top 6-8 driver, always has been and always will be unless he is with Ferrari, Renault or McLaren.

Either the passenger has spent his entire life driving excels or the difference between power delivery from the driver and passenger seats is way different because ~300kw feels like im driving a bus. Then again, when it comes to braking for a corner you suddenly realise how fast you are going. Who's job is it to realign all the cones when somebody has an off?

I used to just drive around the water, but then they freshly painted the red/blue section and now they throw a major fit if you try and drive around it. Hell even if I just drive thru the water and stop (rather than sitting in the water) they give all sorts of death stares!

Top race, love it when its a wet track. I don't know wtf happened but I set my recording 15mins early and 30mins late and I somehow missed the first 30mins and last 5mins of the Ch10 coverage. I'll keep an eye out for the 'onboard race' footage to see what happened with Schuey!
