  1. I just had my car up on the hoist and it appears my transmission fluid is leaking out of my transfer case somewhere. The mechanic couldn't pin point it exactly as obviously it sprays everywhere when driving but it appeared to be leaking out of where the front driveshaft connects and even possibly at a hydraulic hose at the rear of the transfer case. Hopefully the box doesn't have to come out for this.
  2. But brakes only slow you down fatz....
  3. Notice also that MS locked his brakes going into the corner so he may have been more on the edge than Rosberg which made the decision of running onto the grass easier for MS.
  4. That above clip is from my mpeg capture of the race which I just cut and modified with DrDirx, took 1min to do.
  5. You can download a divx file of both incidents from: here (rename to montoya.avi)
  6. I've watched this incident a couple of times and still can't make up my mind of whom is to blame. Montoya had the line into the first corner and Rosberg gave him room but he had the 2nd corner and Montoya didn't want to give him any room because he knew that would put him in the outside wall. The fact that Montoya hit Rosberg in the side pod shows that Montoya still didn't own the 2nd part of the corner. You can't just punt your car up the inside and force the other bloke off the track onto the grass, that's not racing. It was good to see Webber actually finish a race even though he was nowhere. After about lap 5 I thought he may end up with some points with everyone up the front dropping out but that wasn't to be.
  7. Well it was 1 or the other that would move through to the 2nd round of qualifying. Probably would have been better if it was Webber but ah well. I love how Ruben said he'll remember that Rosberg held him up and hold him up next time...
  8. Just finished watching the iTV Qualifying, probably the most boring qualifying of the 2006 season. Webber complained about Rosberg in an interview saying he was holding him up on the hairpin and back straight, then Rosberg tankslaps a wall and cuts the grass on another corner on the same lap and still beats Webber into the final 16th position. Hey Webber quit ya excuses and make your own room, don't expect the driver infront to just get out of the way, he's also fighting for a position on the grid.
  9. You need to stop your engines watching the F1, you must have a race finishing record like Mark Webbers.
  10. That should get you through to the end of 2006, what will you do in 2007?
  11. Maybe that's why there were no cops in my area last night... I even went looking for them and couldn't find any
  12. Yup its what I use in my GTR, about $70 around here.
  13. My work depot is in Chester Hill, its surrounded by Woodville Rd, Hume Hwy and Parramatta Rd, couldn't ask for 3 busier roads really. That alone is enough for me to not like the area. Then again, it took me over 6mths to realise I was driving past a golf course every morning because I used to arrive at work at 4am (now 5am) so i've only really seen it in the dark and peakhour traffic (7-8am when I leave my depot). From what I have seen though the streets seem narrow, busy and the blocks seem smallish with plenty of run-down houses.
  14. To be honest their wasn't anything worth taking pics of but I did snap these couple on the camera phone....
  15. Way too much bling bling for me, the bbq was quite nice though
  16. Nothing to write home about in the Friday practice sessions. Bring on the Qualifying.
  17. Yeah the rear squats under accelleration. Also its not just the inner 1inch of tyre wear, its the inner half of the tyre.
  18. I'd personally get Michelin Preceda's or Bridgestone S03's
  19. Street Legal - but I wouldnt drive them on the street, the police would be all over your ass, you'd cut them up on potholes, they'd offer zero grip in the wet and you'd wear them out in a month.
  20. I was talking to a courier driver mate today (does the mountains run also) and he lives about 2 streets from this old track, said he used to go and watch the time attack racing they had their years ago when he was a kid.
  21. You do have a cheap (depending on if you buy new or 2nd hand) way of getting traction. Buy a set of wide rear wheels and fit some Nitto, M/T, BFG drag radials.
  22. They are different: Z32: image R33: image The Z32 + Nitto's fit just fine (these particular wheels+tyres have been on 3 different r33 gtst's)
  23. I have the same problem on the back of mine and want to get it fixed before I fit new tyres (<2mths)
  24. Tomorrow (saturday) a new Ozzy Tyres shop is opening at St Marys (next to the United Servo just down the road from Aldi / St Marys RSL). Supposed to be plenty of giveaways, cheap tyres and wheels a bbq and some show cars. I'll be there in the morning to get my free breakfast. http://www.ozzytyres.com.au/page.php?ad=st...ad=stmary_store
  25. I think you just answered your own question.
