Well i'll be damned, didn't have a clue their was an old track up in that section of Katoomba but then again it took me 6mths to realise where the swimming/gym complex was By the looks of those pics that track actually has a better road surface than half the side streets in the area

Launching is an art - their is more to it then how wide your tyres are or what brand of rubber they are. Track prep, track temperature, clutch type, tyre compound, tyre pressure, horsepower, rpm etc all influence your launch. On a side note I have a pair of unused 300ZX rims with very very warn Nitto NT555R rubber (255's) sitting in my garage if someone wants to throw some mulla my way

I just got an email quite back from Steve at Maltech. $90 inc postage for the R32 GTR braided clutch line. $430 inc postage for the R32 GTR front+rear braided brake lines. $470 inc postage for both together. Think I might order myself a clutch line, thanks for the info Pete.

Bass Junky, How much did you pay for the braided line and where from? I've been thinking about getting 1 from Ebay for $100 delivered when I fit a new master/slave cylinder as it's the only place I could find 1 off the shelf.

I've had this problem with my past 3 cars and at the time this problem was occurring I was using Falken tyres each time. Move a different brand or even put brand new tyres on the front and magically the tramlining disappeared.

I seen the car out in the pits thinking it might be Kenny's (havent seen it in aaages) but never seen it run after 7pm.

I often wonder how much actual tollerance their would be with different tyre sizes for example. 235/45/17 = 202.10cm (circumference) 255/40/17 = 199.74cm (http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html) So that is a 2.36cm circumference difference which is the equivalent of 3.75mm of tread depth difference between the 2 tyre sizes. Now I know for a fact that my front tyres (255/40/17) have a larger tread depth than my rear tyres (same size but different brand) due to just natural tyre wear so would this difference likely to be burning up my attessa clutch? Another comparison would be having 225/50/16 on the front and 255/40/17 on the rear with the difference being only 2.2mm of tread depth (even less than the example I gave above).

I need/want a box pretty badly but cant justify spending $200 on an aluminium box or $400 on an ARC box, this could be cheap enough to 'get by' for the mean time unless anyone else can think of a better idea... A local fabricator said he could get his apprentice to knock up some boxes (to fit the apexi induction kit) for me but unsure what they would cost until I got atleast 1 done.

What size wheels/tyres do you currently have any what brand/model of tyre?
