Sounds like it could be either in need of fresh oil (gearbox) or getting the entire clutch system bled.

My slow 12.7@112mph has nothing to do with my rear tyres being worn Nankangs. With everything running properly and a decent driver it should be mid 11's actually. Actually it's a combination of my clutch fluid lines needing a bleed and only having the car for 4mths. For all I know my rear Nankangs may have done 20,000km. I certainly wouldnt put new Kankangs on my car (i'd use Bridgestone, Michelin or Pirelli) but they are fine for now until they need replacing towards the end of this year.

The track was only re-surfaced (all rubber scraped back to base surface from start line to 1000ft) about 2wks ago. They are probably preparing for the Nitro Champs in May, unfortunately that means it will be May before the track is back to 100%.

Didn't someone do this and show it off at a track/drift day at Oran Park about 12mths ago?

Wouldnt it be easier to get someone to weld up a handle? PS. Anyone in Sydney got a cheap jack (including handle).

Does the timing need to be re-configred or can the CAS just be marked, put the cover on and put the CAS back on lining up with the markings?

I have very worn Nankangs in 17x9@255 on the rear of my R32 GTR (300+ rwkw) and they are ok. For the first 10km of driving I can get the back end to step out a foot or 2 if I deliberately hook it around a corner. After that first 10km they are warm and I can't slide them neither around corners or in a straight line. My best 60ft is 1.74sec and thats on only about the 3rd or 4th attempt at a high rpm launch, they have more in them yet.

I believe Autostyle take all their cars to www.bestmufflers.com whom gives a guarantee (to within 5%) of the db output before any work begins. I was talking to the owner of a 500rwkw R32 GTR owner on friday nite whom got his work done their and it didnt appear to go over about 88db.

I think their will be quite afew good cars there. Nothing else is open except servo's and WSID so all the motor heads will be out there with their wheelie bars removed and swapped over to street tyres
