  1. I was there but can't remember a midnight purple gtr... did you run up against a gunmetal grey r32 gtr (which I think blew an IC pipe on 1 run) ? Yes quite a few r32's there on wed nite including 1 that was for sale: 1992 R32 GTR 'HKSGTR' nsw plates ~160,000km (not aware of any rebuilds and had the car for 2yrs) Gunmetal Grey (2wk old respray) PWR Radiator Splitfire Coils Std FMIC (with HKS written all over it) PowerFC + H/C A few gauges ~360rwkw ~$30k Aftermarket rims Redline engine/gearbox/diff oils Very neat inside and out 0402772703 if anybody wants to call him It was his first time there with the gtr, his best from memory was 12.0 and was doing pretty consistent 12.4's @ 110mph with very average launches (1.8-1.9 but bogging down).
  2. hahah. Would have been more convincing if it was @ 80km/h It's friday and I finished work and home by 11am, love it !
  3. You might have 440awkw but I have a keyboard with a spacebar button
  4. Well if anyone can't find me on the day just look for me in the bbq queue
  5. Could be a dumb question but will the lunch shops be open or are we going to run a bbq?
  6. That is because someone mentioned "show n shine, trackday and drifting" all in the 1 sentence and you don't know how to be in all places at once
  7. I'm looking for someone to sponsor my work van actually (serious). /waves at SAU Kyle & Jackie'O (2DayFM) were happy to sponsor (pay for every drop of fuel she uses) a 1982 Mazda 323 provided that her car was painted in the "Black Thunders" paint scheme. To me that sponsorship deal would be worth about $8k/yr.
  8. I like Paul's idea. The organisation wouldn't really be anymore difficult than what the 2005 SNS day was. The only difference is the venue would be the same as the UAS day. The UAS "crew" would be running the trackday as they always do and the SNS "crew" do the show in the carpark. The only downside (if it could be called that) is that i'm pretty sure teh majority of spectators at the 2005 SNS attended because they drove past Mingara and seen a heap of bling cars in a carpark and stopped by to take a look. If it was held at Oran Park the spectators would be purely from advertising as nobody would be able to see the display from the main road.
  9. Ahh just watched it, was in the latest episode... I misread your Post as being in the 7th Ep.
  10. Malcolm at the NSW Show N Shine has 1 too.
  11. Hrmm I must have missed that bit of the show... approx how far thru the episode was it?
  12. Call them and give em the bad news
  13. Is now the time we start bribing for spectator spots? I have a set of used Nitto's on rims ready to go that I no longer need in exchange for a spectator spot
  14. haha The look on peoples faces in the queue behind you would have been funny!
  15. haha especially when you jump out of the arena
  16. I think that is the finest/cleanest Skyline of any model that I have ever seen in my life. For a car that is 12yrs old it put many R34 GTR/GTT's to shame.Mr Shean is the secret product i've been told but sshh
  17. Yes that's right. As you approach the line you will see on either side of your lane (the red painted bit) a narrow white line (which is actually about 20-30cm wide I believe). Slowly moving in will initiate the first 'pre-stage' light, moving forward a few cm again will initiate the 2nd light (you are now ready to race). If you happen to roll too far forward and the 1st 'pre-stage' light goes out but the 2nd staging light stays on don't panic just stay where you are. It just means that you can't move forward anymore otherwise you will breakout (red light = disqualified). Many people make the mistake of quickly trying to reverse back and then drive forward again into stage however before they can do that the 'starter' has already started the staging sequence and you'll screw up your run and timing. Their is 0.4sec between each of the yellow/amber lights before the green lights up. I usually release the clutch when I seen the 2nd (of 4) amber lights 'go out'. From this I was getting consistent 0.1-0.2sec reaction times (which don't effect your time on wednesday nights but it's the easiest way to beat any car you are racing against).
  18. Good o'l SR2 eh... that game owes me my childhood
  19. The inability to stage thing really pisses me off. It shows that they clearly have either never been to WSID to watch others race, or they have watched but failed to pay any attention. That red S14 thing was quite funny. Yay lets stand directly infront of a car that's doing a burnout to teach him a lesson, oh shit he ran into me. Quite suprised the driver didn't get out and give him a mouthful. It was only about 15mins earlier the announcers said over the PA "Do not do a burnout across the line, we don't care how big your burnout is before the line but don't go over it". From what I could see he hadn't passed the line yet
  20. It's every wed nite from 5-10pm, $45 to enter/race or $15 to spectate.
  21. I noticed you werent launching very hard. Thought you may have been taking it easy for your first time in the new 34
  22. I spectated with a mate. Heaps of Holdens and Fords, too many actually Afew rotors out which is good to see (most likely testing for this sundays bracket meeting). They had a few oil downs in the staging area of 1 of the lanes so that's why the nites racing was slower than normal (along with a massive entry of cars). The burnout comp was quite good considering the quality of cars.
  23. exhaust before beer
  24. Just drop the clutch enough so that it skims the first layer of crap (plus the burnout water) off ur tyres, u dont need to perform a big smoke show.... all that will do is hirt your wallet.
