post a pic of your favourite 32 gtr
benm replied to twoquik's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Damn! Very neat! I'll take just 1 please ;) -
It's about as fun watching as that little black motorbike thats been running 10.6-10.7's for the last 12mths (atleast 50 runs if not more).

Don't even bother with looking at an upgraded turbo until you have done the basics: * Full turbo-back exhaust * FMIC * Fuel pump * Injectors etc etc Just going out now and bolting on a bigger turbo with what you have (or don't have by the sounds of it) is going to do nothing but burn a whole in your wallet.

I have an automatic 2000 hiace van (for work) and for the 10mths that I had that + my R33 gts-t (before selling it) I have to say without a doubt the van was used more than the skyline. The skyline only came out on thur/fri/sat nites only, it was just too much hassle. I drove my hiace van everywhere else because its more economical, no risk of theft, easier to park (don't have to worry about finding a spot 100m away so no1 will bang my doors), it's auto so I just put my foot down and not worry about anything. I've never had a cop glance sideways at me (regardless of my speed or time of day driving) and it's also totally tax deductable My Skyline went from doing 400-500km/wk to maybe 50-75km/wk on avg. My work van does around 1,300km/wk (but 95% of that is for work). If I had a regular job (no vehicle requirements) I don't know that i'd go out and buy a 2nd vehicle though, it'd be a consideration if I had maybe a 300+ kw skyline but a 200kw is certainly daily drivable. In the 48,000km that i've had my hiace (10mths) it has never ever missed a beat, and the engine feels exactly the same as it did the day I purchased it. Tell me how many skyline owners have driven 48,000km and just put fuel+oil in it whilst driving well over 1000km/wk (totally different types of vehicles I realise).

No, but you just have to be in the right place at the right time.Someone going overseas and needing to sell 'or else' ... or someone upgrading to an R34GTR and needing the cash to pay off the R34GTR or start modding it, it's been done here. -
Oooh AutoSalon dyno queen Less stickers and more go now
-
That thing was as loud as a Top Fuel Dragster and quite frankly didn't do a thing for me.Less noise, more go please!
-
You're talking about a "ladies house" right?
-
I agree, by now most people would have gone and bolted on a bigger flowing turbo. My prediction is 11.6sec by October

This thing has tons of potential if they can sort the suspension out and convert to an auto box. http://www.realper4mance.com/events/dragco...bat2005_035.jpg omg go home and take the rest of those p.o.s 20sec vw's with you http://www.realper4mance.com/events/dragco...bat2005_106.jpg The sweestest sounding v8 i've heard in a long time http://www.realper4mance.com/events/dragco...bat2005_148.jpg A chick in a hotted up (albeit hot pink) wrx thrashing it at the drags, does life get any better? http://www.realper4mance.com/events/dragco...bat2005_174.jpg 4" Turbo back exhaust with twin-cats http://www.realper4mance.com/events/dragco...bat2005_231.jpg My place 7pm don't be late or i'll have to punish you http://www.evilimaging.com/dc2005/images/IMG_7951.jpg Is this chick real or just a dummy? http://www.evilimaging.com/dc2005/images/IMG_7966.jpg

Yours certainly doesn't look bad maverick.

I'm have them all (cept Melbourne GP coz I watched that 1 live) on DVD-R (DVD<->TV Recorder). I get my neighbour to record them because I start work too early. They are only tv quality but certainly worth watching. They don't work on 3 of my DVD Players (probably the way he records them, setting or something he's a n00b) so I just watch them on my PC with the headphones The racing was quite average until the last 25 laps. With Webber knowing that he had to come into the pits 1 more time to get more fuel he should have come in a good 5 or more laps even before Heidfeld did. He would have been a good 10-15sec infront of Heidfeld by the race finish. Instead he sat behind hoping Alonso would make a mistake or run out of fuel. It's F1 you can't wait for mistakes you have to force them.

Sounds alright robocop.

A case of beer should be a good enough royalty for him

So what work do you have planned between now and your next event Adrian?

About a year or so ago when I got a 'defect notice' for my hks pod (which I wanted to change back to the factory box anyway because I didnt like the induction noise) I took it to a local RTA recommended blue slip mechanic and he laughed at me. He said no where in his "book of rules" does it even state you have to have an air filter connected let alone it must be boxed. He rang up the RTA to give them a hoot but the RTA guy that answered simply stated "anything that is non-factory fitted is a defect" ... end of story.By the time I got it cleared though I had already fitted the standard airbox so it was a simple 1min check and off I went back to the RTA. I've said it 100x and i'll say it again, things will never change until the Police go back to fighting crimes (breakins, rape, bank robbers) and leave all the traffic offences to the RTA, I mean that's what we pay them for. It's a win win situation for us all.

I looked at getting this boxset when it first came out afew years ago. Problem is I want more than 1hr of highlights of each race, I want the entire 6-7hrs worth. Size and length isn't an issue these days with DVD's like it was 10yrs ago with VHS.I'd also like each V8SC race/season in DVD Boxset too but thats impossible.

Yup its the redhead thats cool with it on wed nite meets.
-
Robert next time just ask the guy that marks your window (in the staging lanes out the back) if you can race your mate (infront/behind) you. He'll generally let it happen if its possible.

I know someone (wink) thats been using a certain paysite for about a year now without any issues. It has everything you could want (well it keeps me happy) and works on a monthly unlimited data subscription. I have no idea how I found it but its better than any P2P you could dream of.

That SEXDR car is absolute rubbish, I had a good look at it and the more I looked the more I felt like throwing up. He obviously couldn't make up his mind on what wing to get so had all 4 of them fitted I think the DYO category is about the best racing will get at Drag Combat (which is quickly dieing in the ass as an event). The officials need help in matching up cars that run similar times. If the Rotor teams weren't there i'd say without a doubt that a regular wed nite street meet has more entertaining racing than a big event like DC. I also think that a prerequisite of entering such an event should require that you have done atleast 5 passes down the 1/4. The amount of n00bs staging with their rear tyres is just pitiful. Anyone got an update on the rotor guy that smashed headon with the K&N wall just past the finish line? Looks like the car was heading out the emergency gate at about 100mph but ended in about 500 pieces spread all over the track.

Top day. The patrols circle work was pretty good but I liked it better when you were manouvering over the dirtbike jumps, even if it did bottom out hehe (background of above pic).
-
I thought I seen a 9.5 from it Scott.

Top effort Adrian, looks like some more work in the shop before she is out again doing some more PB's. Post up your full 11.9 and 11.8 details. How do they compare to the first 11.9 you did awhile ago? Picking up any mph or lowered that 60ft any further?
