  1. Upon checking/changing my spark plugs the last 2x (10,000km) i've noticed alot of oil moisture around my spark plugs down in each bay. As others above have mentioned the rear passenger side is the worst, actually my whole passenger side is worse than the drivers side. Coupla questions: * I take it their is no guarantee that changing just the gaskets will fix the problem? (will I need gasket goo too?) * How much are the gaskets brand new for RB25DET? * Apart from the oil moisture all over and around the rocker covers what side effects does having these leaks have? (hissy, sucking, loss of anything etc)? I'm pretty confident I could do this myself, it'd take an entire afternoon after work but i'd rather try myself first than pay ~$200 for a mechanic to undo afew bolts. Actually I might get them powder coated while the covers are off....
  2. Speaking of Wakefield who is going tomorrow for the UAS day?
  3. Does this guy work as a used car salesperson?
  4. I managed to catch about 3 of your runs. Looked like your launches were getting better and better as the night wore on. Good to see some other new Skylines out there too
  5. If you want cheaper petrol use your credit card to pay for it By the time it has actually been processed and shows up on your bill you cbf caring what the price is
  6. Can ya feel the love huh huh can ya !!
  7. Only if your engine as a whole is making good power. Considering that I believe the RB25DET AFM is good for over 200rwkw than 99% people on stock turbo's will never have this problem.
  8. Adjust it with the idle screw located on the back of the plenum near your master brake cylinder. Adjust at your own risk
  9. I totally agree. On 99.9% of the packaging of such items at your local Supercheap, Autobarn etc etc does not state anything about the product being an illegal modification for a road registered car. This should be mandatory!!
  10. Yup very easy, you just have to remove about 10 small bolts.
  11. The larger turbo will max out the standard AFM.
  12. Exhaust = 90db. Air filter is fine. BOV is illegal. FMIC is illegal. Good luck in getting legal advice. I've rung the RTA with repeated responses of "anything on the car that was not originally on the car (or a factory option) is illegal". Maybe contact someone that engineers cars and get their advice/modification documents. Or maybe this is of help: http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/dow...si/vsi_dl1.html
  13. Uusually around $80-150/day (plus a wakefield 1yr license). It is most certainly the first track anyone should try first in NSW
  14. No bonus.
  15. Well my first time at Wakefield (2nd trackday ever, or basically I first because my brakes died after 2 sessions at EC the year before) I only managed a 1m21sec and that was in the last handful of laps before the day was over. It took me about 40-50 laps to realise that I could push my car soo much harder around corners (with some steady understeer ). Afew laps with Duncan (whom gave me 2 good pointers) and I dropped an easy 6-7sec but by then my tyres were scrap. In 3 trackdays (~150 laps) i've never spun, actually never even had any oversteer at all so I know I can push harder next time (with decent rubber) if I can get the balance right to dial out some of the understeer. I've now done 3 circuits. Eastern Creek = Big power, big brakes. Wakefield = Suspension, skill. Oran Park Sth = Precision, grip.
  16. I think it's around 650-670rpm factory ?
  17. I once had a workshop hookup a smoke machine directly to my IC pipes and pump it full of smoke, that worked well and only took about 5mins in total.
  18. Ahh the joys of trying to sell a car, 10mths and counting
  19. Is this the recent GTR you purchased Drunkan or a different car?
  20. Not quite true. The maximum speed of ADSL2+ is 24MBit and speeds of 18.7MBit have been reported from ~2.2km (obviously though this is 1 example and it's more of a case-by-case basis due to the different copper networks around Australia).
  21. 256k = 26k/s 512k = 55k/s 1500k = 165k/s Ping times are better (which is what matters) so yes 1500k would be more ideal for gaming than 512k especially with the upload speeds (128k vs 256k) which is what slows down your connection when gaming.
  22. I'm on the 60gb plan (do atleast 50gb/mth) but that is split between 2 regular users and 3 extra weekend users. Usually i'll have 10-20gb free at the end of the month and just download 'whatever'.
  23. Well I haven't touched my PS2 in like a month (well since the last time I posted here). So over the next day or 2 i'll add in all the new times that have been posted here and get this thread happening again
  24. For insurance you could try: Shannons Young & Cool Justcar Insurance Famous Classic 200km for me is about $15-20 I think.
