  1. If it sounds like a metal whirring noise then it's likely to be the thrust bearing, i've worn out 2 in 2yrs. The annoying think is I believe they are a $20 part although it doesn't take much longer to throw in a new clutch so I just put up with it.
  2. Say hello to a 3" front/dump/cat and a PowerFC before you bolt on a silly turbo.
  3. I only have an R33 GTS-t but i'd have to agree with 'Tommyk'. The GTS-t vs GTR use the same fuel, same oil, same number of plugs, filters, etc. Now apart from the initial purchase price and insurance provided nothing breaks on the GTR I can't see the running costs being any different. The biggest killer on the GTR is the initial purchase price. The biggest killer on the GTS-t is the high rate of depreciation.
  4. The Redline Shockproof takes a solid 300-500km to 'really' kick in
  5. The only way I hear about trackdays is because i'm on the MotoConcepts mailing list. The only way I heard about MC is from the /Events section of this forum. I've brought afew mates (that were/are into cars) and would love to go for a sprint around a track but have never heard of MC or even when private trackdays are held. The -only- events that are advertised are V8SC events. No WSID events are advertised (only way I find out about those are by going to wed nite drag events), no trackdays, no motokhanas etc. You need to spend money to make money and the sooner these companies realise that the sooner they can look forward to running an event with a profit at the end of the day. Whilst I will happily attend MC events when I can I have no pitty for them when they close up shop, because word of mouth only travels so far and with the 1000's of car club members in NSW their is no excuse for running a trackday at a loss.
  6. Geeze I was confused by page2. At this stage i'll be leaving penno at 8pm so i'll be there when im there and if I miss you all then i'll meet at Newport... whenever I get there. Sounds like their is a fair few cars going so I might hang back abit, they tend to get abit messy when driving. $5 the magna is there!
  7. I think of the dozen or so trackdays at EC+OP that I have spectated/entered only 2 of them had the required numbers to break even. Once again it comes down to advertising, none of these companies ever advertise.
  8. Ah ok, thought the weight was in all of them. Sounds like a good enuff excuse to buy a Momo Race if u ask me ApleX
  9. Are you sure its not the little metal weight in the top middle part that has come loose? It's a common problem...

  20. *rubs eyes*(http://users.on.net/~blakrok/198rwkw-small.jpg) 3000rpm to 5000rpm = hovers around 12psi 5000rpm to 6400rpm = drops to 9.5psi 6400rpm to 7000rpm = steady at 9.5psi Looks to me like the peak power is at around ~6500rpm @ 9.5psi? Back on topic... How long until these plenums are likely to be available in the shop?
