  1. Yup thanks. Just worked mine out:4000 = 120 4500 = 130 5000 = 155 5500 = 180 6000 = 185 6500 = 184 7000 = 178 = 162rwkw (or 152rwkw using 3-7k rpm) 4000-5000rpm is what I need to work on (replace std ecu with a pfc should fix this). Edit: Now that I look at those figures im guessing i'd be best off short-shifting at 6000rpm when drag racing instead of ~6,800rpm as im getting no extra power, the engine is just reving out, correct?
  2. I go there to beat my pb every single run. Out of around 30 runs i've only beaten my pb 2x (by about 0.0x sec) and the others have all been within 0.2sec or just complete flops (0.5-1.0sec). I could prolly find about 5 excuses as to why im not getting quicker and quicker but im sick of excuses.Due to work im not sure when i'll be able to get back to the strip, hopefully i'll have the car (engine) tidied up a little bit more so that it is running consistent enough for me to lay some decent times. My goal is still a 12.99sec or better by 30/12/04 which will either take money and/or just more experience/practice.
  3. That's cool, now if only we had a tunnel like that from MLB->TAS->NZ
  4. .. and I think after a very short period of time the "what time they can run" group turn into the "how fast they can go" group
  5. I used to be like that too but too many cops up here to worry about anything on the street. The more you have available the more likely you are to use it and unfortunately I can't do anything silly for the next 2.5yrs so for me personally it is all about the track (drags/circuit).I find circuit more fun but drags more challenging.
  6. Well im not sure, the same way that you normally work out your "average power" formula. Don't you normally use 3000-7000rpm or something?
  7. The way I see it is you go to the drags to do the quickest time you can, so do whatever it takes to do that quickest time. I'd much rather say i'm running 10's with nitto's, nitrous, big turbo etc etc than i'm running 12.9's with standard turbo and street tyres with subs in the boot.
  8. SK: What is the "average power" of your R34 ?
  9. What gearbox oil do you actually use?
  10. ... that's what I was thinking.
  11. and people thought I was crazy for suggesting a campout the following nite???? I'll be there before the sun is even up !!
  12. Hrmm I think I had my Iridiums (I think thats what I have, never checked them) regapped about 3mths ago and now only in the last 2wks im getting issues when trying to use 12psi (R33 GTS-t, pretty standard). I personally haven't ever checked the plugs in 47,000km however I got a workshop to check/regap them last time it was in there.Maybe thats my issue and not the coilpacks. Seems I need to spend another hour or so with the bonnet popped
  13. Ahh the joys of living in a new housing estate where all gutters are the curved smooth type. I still scrape but only when their is someone parked out the front and I have to take a tighter line. Other than that I've worn a bare patch in the grass about 1m on the side from where I take it at a wide angle.
  14. Carry 2 bags of cement in the boot at all times.
  15. Wouldn't it be easier if you just called me by my sau nickname? :wassup:Shit! Only 13 sleeps until im 22 :oops
  16. Yup give your local RTA a call and they will be able to give you the address of some local work shops to clear it for you. From memory the cost is $20 for them to sight your vehicle and pass it, no fine (from memory a fine would be stated on the defect notice). Just fix the minor things and then rock up with a case of beer in the passenger seat and see how you go. Theirs nothing proving that you didn't change things 'back' to what they currently are after you left the AIS.
  17. Seems as though the ~260rwkw mark is about what most people want over the past month. Their have been about 5 similar threads to this 1 in the past 2-3wks so you may want to spend an hour doing a search and reading up. Looks like you will be up for about ~$4.2k to be on road with ~260rwkw.
  18. I checked my front bar today, their are 2 main points on my '95 GTS-t M-Spec front bar that get scraped however I did notice a hair line split in the paint. Upon further inspection the very bottom of the front bar has actually been split from impact on my driveway (or somewhere else). I don't think putting something at the bottom would have prevented it, all it would have done is stopped the bar from getting scratched.
  19. Don't forget the Summernats, only been twice and im hooked. I think it has something to do with out of control v8's doing monster burnouts from about thursday afternoon through until Sunday afternoon *droooool*
  20. Running rich (standard ECU).
  21. Can you only hear the noise when you have your foot down on the clutch?
  22. I average around 400km and my exhaust tip is as black as black can be. My best is ~640 on a trip to Canberra and back for the Summernats earlier this year. That involved ~400km of hwy driving @ 110km/h
  23. Ahh sweet it's this saturday, didn't realise. Is anyone taking sleeping bags and camping out in the carpark on Friday nite just to be there in time for the best bargains at 9am, or is it just me ?
  24. 225/50/16 Michelin Preceda's with consistent 4.5mins from Work -> Home
  25. That's the last comment I get when I leave there place :aroused:
