A K&N Panel filter

Someone buy me a PS2 + the game for my 22nd (7th July) pweeeeeeease,

I'm not after padding, i'm after something that "holds" me in place rather than hanging onto the steering wheel to keep me still The last R32 GTR seats I sat in were perfect except for the shoulders, a little squishy for me, I wonder if the R33 GTR seats are any different.

I have it in SVCD (150mb).

Who says the GTS-t has a more comfortable seat ? Give me a GTR seat any day

Nah didn't have a look, could probably work it out just by looking at it. I didn't even think it could have been my air filter choking it all. I just thought if it was really dirty that I wouldn't get as much power. I'm sure it is something that many people would over look just because it is so obvious. WSID was a shocker, it was my last chance at drag racing for awhile (working night shift now) so I thought i'd go for a run on the last saturday event just for sh1ts n giggles. No traction, standard air filter and could only run on 7psi (12psi was cutting at about 4,500rpm, not sure if it was the factory boost cut or not coz i've 'never' had that issue before). Yeah I could prolly remove the AFM without removing the scoop but it would have been a tight squeeze getting to the clamp for the AFM hose so I didn't bother. I will take another look at it tomorrow when I change my front brake pads.

I think the problem is that a lot of people won't do the simple things (alarm, fuse, kill switch, steering lock, etc) because they know that for a professional it takes about 30sec for each of the above to "fix". I realise that if somebody wants something than no matter what sort of security you have they will get past it but the point is the more you can stall them or trouble them the better chance you have of them being seen and running away with your CD Player instead of your $30,000 car.

I realise that, I just didn't think it would be "that" noticable.

Well I had the earth wire grounded and also a kill switch installed for $100 ($80 for the kill switch and $20 to ground the wire) . Ran perfectly for about 24hrs and then it started happening again. Did a bit more research on here and heaps of people mentioned cleaning the AAC can fix the problem so I bought some electrical cleaner from DSE to attack that job (also the AFM). Took 1 look at how to remove the AAC and released I need a better set of tools so thought i'd try something easier and clean the AFM but couldn't work out how to remove the air scoop (has 2 weird plugs on it that I haven't worked out how to remove whilst upside down and no view of them). Took 1 look at my K&N panel filter to realise that it was black instead of red so I repleaced it with just a generic panel filter that I got with the airbox and it hasn't missed a single beat in a week. It idles spot on, doesn't 'dip' when I brake/clutch it's absolutely perfect (although I was definitely down on power at WSID on saturday). So I think my problem may have been a dirty K&N Panel filter choking the system. I'll get some stuff to clean it properly and throw it back in and see how everything goes.

Yes if they want it they will take it but the more security items you have in place the better chance you have of finding it damaged rather than gone (although if it was taken i'd prolly get the same payout from insurance than if I was to "try" and sell it).

Go on the 2nd yellow light, by the time your brain/car reacts it is always green. I seem to be getting consistent 0.1-0.2's, pity the remaining 400m isn't as good Weird isn't it. You would think that a fully prep'd track would provide heaps of grip, bit it is still a work of art to get a respectable 60ft time. What size tyres and what pressure were you running? A 1.827sec 60ft is pretty decent in an R33 GTR. It will put you in my Top10 60ft list (when I update it with your details).

Your local Repco, AutoOne, AutoBahn will stock the K&N's, about ~$100.

Yup the blue lights are a definite defect as for the other stuff you just got ass raped. Take pictures of a dozen different GTS-t's number plate holders and take it with you and also take it to the cop shop that this guy is from and tell him to bend over the bench coz you have a present for him.
