  1. If Duncan charged a fee for his driving services he could fix the GTR
  2. Yes I agree hence the "a few more changes in the near future" comment above. Had some server issues yesterday (nothing major except that it caused me to update things in the wrong area and I nearly lost everything) so I added a few more cars and let it be for another day until all the changes are complete at the server (where I work) and then I plan on fixing that "R/Time" issue. So far its: Calder and Willowbank that work with the silly 0.4 R/Time thing, correct me if i'm wrong?
  3. Better tyres and suspension setup will fix this. You will probably find that your front end is too stiff or too low.
  4. ok some updates done for now, a few more changes in the near future.
  5. Yeah I might drop in later in the afternoon.
  6. Oran park is a big dust bowl, after your weekend you shouldn't have any issues finding it Edit: Not sure if I will be attending, don't really feel like paying $10 just to watch someone ruin their tyres. Promised some mates i'd go and visit a dyno day down at Silverwater so im not sure what/where i'll be at this stage.
  7. ^bump^ Still a few available
  8. This was my brake setup for Wakefield on Monday the 17th: * Nissan std Master Cylinder (1mth old) * Master Cylinder Brace * Goodrich Braided lines (front) * DBA4000 Slotted (front/back) * Calipers overhauled (9mths old) * RB74 (front - 9mths old) * Unknown (rear - 6mths old) * Motul RBF600 (1mth old) Mum did 11 laps, came in for a 5min brake (just enough to pop the bonnet and check fluids) then I went out and did 8 laps... brakes were fine. Then 45mins later mum did 18 laps and still no issues. Later on in the afternoon I did a hard 15 laps and they just kept going. I found the RB74 pads performed worst on the cool down laps but the hotter they good (ie; more I pushed) the better they got but since only having "working" brakes for 1mth out of the last 12 I didn't want to destroy them again as it cost me ~$2,000 to get them where they are Ok so im only running 186rwkw and all 67 laps in 5hrs were done between 1m:21sec and 1m:40sec but I think they held up extremely well considering I was only using regular 225 road tyres Next time i'm at Wakefield I'll have some front brake ducts and some cheater tyres to take a bit of stress off the poor brakes
  9. Get a set of "pineapples" from "Dr_Drift" (or your local "Whiteline" workshop) on here. They will help the rear end squat better and put the power down smoother. I could notice the difference within the first 200m of driving (in a normal manner) on a public road after having these fitted. Will cost you about $180 fitted.
  10. Can't see up close but is that the "Momo Race" wheel ? Can you confirm that it is definitely a "Hicas" boss kit ?
  11. What sort of mods are you wanting and what sort of price range ?
  12. The list will be updated in the next 0-48hrs. A server change at work has screwed my website up for now so hopefully that will be fixed in the morning.
  13. * Don't bother with a big smokey burnout, just scrub them clean in the burnout * Drop your clutch from 3500-4000rpm * Change at ~6,700rpm * Don't back off until your back wheels have passed the finish line * PM me your best time as per my signature :headspin:
  14. Interesting results Robo, personally I would have expected a solid 15rwkw more with the P/FC over a stock ECU. I'm making 186rwkw on the UAS Dyno with the stock ECU (but I have an Ex Cam Gear and the stock ECU, everything else is the same as your setup). With a P/Fc I'm "expecting" 200rwkw, a lousy 14rwkw to gain shouldn't be all that hard with an aftermarket ECU and EBC. Throw up your boost printout and also the torque printout. Is the bleed valve even holding 13.5psi? It appears my dual stage is peaking at 12psi (what it is set to) but can only hold 9.9psi (even if we set it to 13psi it still drops to 9.9psi up top). Next time you head over to UniGroup give us a call (pm me) so I can come and have a look.
  15. Absolutely awesome day, both my mum and I thoroughly enjoyed it (especially because nothing broke). Nothing like a car that you can arrive in, remove the spare tyre and jack and then just do laps all day long. First out was mum for the "3 Lap Dash" (err follow the leader observation laps), then mum went out for the first session with me yelling in her ear every corner to tell her when to brake, when to turn in and when to put her foot down... all went according to plan with no missed gears, ABS lockups or sliding and she clocked up a 1m:43sec. Straight into the garage to cool down with the bonnet up for a total of ~5mins before Group A was called and off I went... Did a total of 8 laps, couldn't believe how bumpy the circuit was, some corners have 2 or 3 different patches of tarmac, definitely a 'good suspension setup' track. Clocked a 1m:32sec in the 3 or 4 fast laps I had whilst trying to let the faster cars past. Back into the garage again for a 40min cool down, made a front shock adjustment (no idea whether it was soft or hard, I think softer). Next up was mums turn again, had some fun this time, abit later on the braking, afew line adjustments and 16 laps later we decided to pit just for the hell of it with a best time of 1m:30sec. Gave the car an hour to cool down whilst trying to workout how I was going to find 2sec a lap quicker just to wipe the smile off my mums face. First session after lunch dropped from 1m:32sec down to 1m:28sec just from later braking (yes I started to get really confident with my brake setup) and mum was no longer smiling Out I went again (this time with Duncan), abit later braking and no braking on some corners, tried to let the car flow through the corners better, afew different lines for the horse-shoe and the last corner to try and maximise the exit speeds. Dropped my laptime from 1m:28sec to 1m:27sec. Talked to Duncan abit more (thanks heaps) and then took Tosh out for some hot laps, went abit more wild on this 1 trying to brake well before the corner and then accellerate through the corner, after a dozen laps came into the pits to find I went from a 1m:27sec to a 1m:21sec (mum forgot to time all my laps so only got my 2nd last lap grr). So now I know that a few more suspension bits n pieces along with some cheater tyres and I should be well into the teens Not bad for a first time at Wakefield, I was very happy. My Michelin 225/50/16's held up well with the best laptime being recorded on the 67th lap of the day Brakes performed outstanding all day, always a solid pedal and hardly any ABS at all (twice I think and that was on the bumpy part so back to my front suspension setup). I didn't get the tail out at all and the frontend was very controllable. Out of 10 i'd rate this trackday a 13.6 and i'll certainly be back (I think my mum is sitting at home now studying the course to try and find a 1m:20sec) Edit: Tosh; Got dust?
  16. Great day !! I want an R32 GTR Pity about the Zed, obviously didn't get its daily intake of V
  17. Hey Roy how wide/big is the seat? You know me. . . im a big sorta fella and having trouble finding a seat that will fit me in, let alone sit me deep enough (the R32 GTR stock seats are nice, abit snug around the shoulders but the rest is fine). Can you take a measurement on the inside where ya bum sits ?
  18. I'm in the same position mike, I want that style grill but im not prepared to pay more than $50 new or used for something so simple. If anybody knows somewhere that has them at a reasonable price let us know.
  19. With a good launch and some nice pedal work you'll have a high 12 on offer. http://skylines.pnc.com.au/drags.html
  20. Interesting day, gotta be the most retirements i've ever seen at a trackday for such a low-end track (hope my name isn't added to that list after tomorrow). Good luck with the rebuild John
  21. Do you have an engine? Yes Do you have 4 wheels? Yes Passed !
  22. How about that... my GTS-t is quicker than a GTR ... well Duncans anyhow
  23. Everyone is different... for me their would be 3 categories... 1. "R32 GTR" 2. +5k = "Average R32 GTR" 3. +5k = "Good R32 GTR" So the #1's are the $20k's, #2's are the $25k's and the #3's are the $30k's (from the Prestige List of 89 models).
  24. The question was "How much do you think it will be worth next year" not "Would you buy an 89GTR from Prestige Motorsport". Have you seen any pics of druzilla's GTR ? Have you driven druzillas GTR ? All we have (in this thread) is a list of modifications to go on which is why I answered 17-19k (everything depreciates, even Porsche's and GTR's ... although slowly). The difference between an average condition GTR and an perfection condition GTR could be $5k.
