  1. Just cover the pod with a box and go to your local blue slip garage and get them to check it. It took me longer to pop the bonnet lever and raise the bonnet than it took for them to inspect everything. To be honest their is nothing illegal about a 'pod filter' but lets not get into that again...
  2. Yup I can vouch for this, the hotter they get the more they beg to be used, the guys at RaceBrakes are tops too Don't forget to mention that you are part of 'SAU'
  3. I spoke to Brett at 'Drag Combat' at WSID about 5wks ago and he told me that the 450hp and the 500hp were the same price ($1900) its up to the customer to choose what size they want.
  4. Interesting topic.. At the drags both last night and the week before it felt like my top end (5,800->6800rpm) was 'lacking', almost like the turbo was running out of puff. I got 2rismo to drive it and he straight away thought it was my standard wastegate not holding pressure. I thought i'd just be able to swap over to a high pressure spring but as mentioned above this doesn't appear to be the case. Does anyone know what the standard wastegate can hold? Can these things 'wear out' over time? (my car is a '95). I'm only running standard ECU so I was thinking it was just in dire need of a thorough tune but after reading this thread and letting 2rismo drive my car (he did a 14.1 and a 14.2 which is equal to my PB) its got me thinking... I've always been told by Dyno Operators that my car holds boost perfectly but the last time I was on a dyno was 6mths ago so maybe that has changed. I'm using a TurboXS Dual-Stage boost controller with a switch in the center console set to 7/12psi. I use 7psi for daily driving but want to use 12psi at the drags. n00b.
  5. Still 14.18sec @ 99.9mph. Pretty average nite at WSID, didn't matter what we tried it just wouldn't budge Ahh well no racing for a month or so for me now. Got that Ex Cam Gear to have fitted/tuned, rear suspension needs to be looked at and possibly that wastegate issue.
  6. Their 'Contact Us' page needs updating then
  7. I'll be there !! 80% Racing. 10% Sleeping. 10% Spectating. Edit: Current PB is 14.18 @ 99.9mph, im aiming for 13.9sec @ 101mph
  8. Seeya there Adrian, will have to try and organise a Head-to-Head run so we can show the crowd the difference between a Maroon R33 GTS-t and a Maroon R33 GTS-t ...or something :slap:
  9. Another nice mod that most people don't think about, pity about the price
  10. 96 Octane? Ouch! Does an RB25DET even "run" on 96 Octane?
  11. Knat can u get me a job ?

  16. Schuey is just foxing with everyone, he only lifts himself when he has too My boss put $900 on Schuey to win @ $2.30 .... he'll be happy. Pity I only put $10 @ $1.75 on him, oh well a win is a win :wavey:
  17. Interesting... mines a stocker too :flower:
  18. Both items sold. Mods please close thread.
  19. Yup the stock turbo will get you to 200rwkw if your engine is in good condition and if you upgrade 'all' of the support systems
  20. To get a "decent" R33 GTS-t ur gonna need $20,000 and to get into the very very high 13's your going to need ~$5,000 in mods (thats if the car is 100% stock to begin with). Their are some R33's out there doing mid 13's on a very small budget but these guys can really "drive" the thing. Most people just need a fatter wallet to achieve the same outcome. Most people will need: * Full exhaust * Pod Filter * AFtermarket ECU * Good Rear Tyres * Aftermarket Rear Suspension * Boost ..and thats already ~$4,000. Hell i've pretty much got the above mods (minus ECU) and im still playing around in the 14.1's Edit: Take a look at the "SAU 1/4 Mile List" on my website (http://skylines.pnc.com.au) and you might want to PM some of the guys to see what mods they have to get the results they got.
  21. ^bump^ Sydney Only
  22. ^bump^
  23. You won't know until you get it on the Dyno. I'd still be adding in an 'Exhaust Cam Gear' for around au$180 which will 'help'.
