  1. LOL I wonder how many extra thousand it cost to get that 10-15kw when all you gotta do is put in a $100 air filter :wavey:
  2. The tyres have done 11,200km and have been on my car for exactly 8mths. They have had a 5,000km service and are due for the 10,000km service (obviously). I am unsure how much tread is left (see the pics below). I don't have the correct tools to measure them accurately. I drive a Skyline whats this conservative thing your talking about ... I don't rip burnouts but I give them a good run. I live in a housing estate that hasn't heard of straight roads or traffic lights, instead its -very- twisty roads and a lifetime supply of round-abouts
  3. If that is all you want (400hp = ~220rwkw) and you claim to currently have ~200rwkw then why do you have to spend $4k to get the extra ~20rwkw?Grab the GCG450 (or the GCG500, they are both the same price... call them) for $1900, "bolt it on", get a retune and be happy with 230rwkw+ I'm currently on 180-200rwkw also (depends which dyno I go to) and my goal for 2004 is 250rwkw and I can get the GCG500 for $1900 which "apparently" will do it or for about $3000 I have a wide variety of choices (going by the threads on here). I'll cross that bridge when I come to it because the more I read the more I get confused.
  4. got any pics pls ?
  5. Why's that?I have stock ECU, stock Injectors, stock Turbo, replaced my stock fuel pump with an intank Bosch 040 and immediately noticed an improvement on 12psi without touching the regulator or anything else.
  6. Although your car isn't anywhere near 'stock' right?
  7. I have 225/50/16's on mine and i've never seen any bigger and wouldn't want to go any bigger (on stock rims).
  8. Thats probably why im still doing low 14's and ur maybe into the 13's ???
  9. I got a mate with a stock auto too :spcow:
  10. You can get the PowerFC + HC from Greenline.jp for $1,304 + Shipping + any taxes (if it gets pulled up for customs + gst).
  11. Here is my 60ft times from last nite at WSID. These tyres have done 10,000km and I had them set at 38psi. 60ft: 2.168 (~3,000rpm) 60ft: 2.117 (~3,500rpm) 60ft: 2.098 (~4,000rpm) 60ft: 2.111 (~3,000rpm) Not bad I guess for an average driver
  12. Tonight at WSID I beat my PB (14.46sec) and was relatively happy with the outcome. I did 4 pretty consistent runs but all feeling totally different behind the wheel. I had 2 goals at the beginning of the nite and didn't care which I got first. My 2 goals were 13.9sec ET or better and 100mph or better. 1) Didn't do much/any of a burnout just dropped it from 4,000rpm and let it spin for a metre to remove the water from the rear tyres. Used standard boost (7psi) and launched from 3000rpm. The entire 14.184sec felt like a Sunday drive, everything was perfectly smooth no wheelspin just perfect. 60ft: 2.168 (~3,000rpm) MPH: 99.94 ET: 14.184sec 2) This time I switched it to 12psi to try and get abit more top end but resulted in axle tramp in the top of 1st gear and problems engaging 2nd gear. 60ft: 2.117 (~3,500rpm) MPH: 98.66 ET: 14.383 3) Thought i'd use 7psi for first gear and then flick it to 12psi soon as I hit 2nd gear. Got my highest Mph but lost out from 1000ft -> 1320ft somehow even though I had a higher TS. 60ft: 2.098 (~4,000rpm) MPH: 100.52 ET: 14.245 4) Bahh what a waste, too busy concentrating on the v8 beside me pulling away and I had a combination of axle tramp and missing 3rd gear. 60ft: 2.111 (~3,000rpm) MPH: 94.70 ET: 14.702 Mods: FMIC K&N Panel Filter 3" Full exhaust Bosch Fuel Pump Daiken Clutch 7/12psi I'm very happy with my 60ft times (Using 10,000km old 225/50/16 @ 38psi Michelin Preceda's). They were very consistent with no wheelspin at all. I need to tweak the rear suspension so i'll take a look at that this weekend and probably drop to ~20psi for next time just to try and get those 60ft times lower again.
  13. Did a PB of 14.184sec (2.09sec 60ft) tonight in my 'basically' stock R33 tonight. Mods are: FMIC K&N Panel Filter 3" full exhaust (ECU, Turbo, PSI all stock)
  14. Nice work ! You deffinetly have a 13.3sec 1/4 in ur car, just gotta pedal it.
  15. From memory when looking into my ECU ('95 Series 1.5) their are 7 different R33 GTS-t ECU models. The ECU I had was in the middle of that list (4th or 5th). I'd love to know what the difference is of each individual model. Here is a pic of my Stock ECU: http://skylines.pnc.com.au/ecu.jpg
  16. Ahh the joys of getting 200rwkw :headspin:... and all you cheaters with an aftermarket ECU :bahaha: From my limited experience if I had a stock car this is what i'd be doing to get 200rwkw from it: * PowerFC * FMIC * K&N Panel Filter * Ex Cam Gear * Spark Plugs * 3" Turbo back Exhaust * Clutch * Boost at 12psi * Bosch Fuel Pump * Fluffy Dice I believe if your motor is in good condition this will get you to 200rwkw.
  17. skankless tonight.... Oh wait... their is still the Plaza :boobies2:
  18. Buy a $50 sleeping bag and sleep in your car at a 24hrs Macca's
  19. ...im just looking forward to seeing it all put back together with the end result being a GTR. I'll give ya fifty dorah for each front guard  Lemme guess, fluro pink ?
  20. So you mean I should steer clear of Panthers Macca's Carpark tonight eh?
  21. What plugs did you get 2rismo ?
  22. More info ?
  23. Hopefully tomorrow nite I become 1 of these few with the stock ecu/turbo to break into the 13's. I've got the TS to do -atleast- a 13.9sec and thats with 1st gear being useless so if I can get rid of axle tramp im hoping for a TS of up around 102mph (which makes a 13.3sec possible).
  24. I haven't had them on a circuit (don't want to ruin them so early in their life) but have had them on the local 1/4 Mile Strip (the old track). I got major axle tramp in 1st and 2nd gear (same as what I used to get on the road with my old Faulkens which these Michelin's fixed - on the public roads). I'll be at the new 1/4 Mile Strip tomorrow arvo and hoping that it was just the old tracks surface that was causing the problems and not my tyres. I'm not 100% sure on tread depth, i'd have to have a look, honestly to me they look brand new after abit of tyre black has been used
