I contacted www.greenline.jp to see if they could contact www.greatcompany.co.jp regarding cost, availability, shipping etc etc and Greenline couldn't get intouch with Great Company.
From what I have worked out R34 GTR rims are 18x9 and these "GC Copies" are 18x9 so would I be right in assuming that if these copies fit wouldn't the r34 gtr rims fit? I think I need to visit justjap when they have a set in and try and fit em to see what limitations I have.
I think you would be doing well to get 180+ rwkw (241rwhp)
Different dyno's will give different readouts (as I have found out over the last 18mths).
Edit: '95 S1 w/ 85,000km.
For me (in order):
(Unigroup)
* FMIC
* HKS Pod
* Daiken Exedy Organic Sports Clutch
* Nismo Cat-back
* 12psi
* Stock Turbo
* Stock ECU
= 192rwkw (257rwhp)
(Unigroup)
* FMIC
* HKS Pod
* Daiken Exedy Organic Sports Clutch
* Custom 3" Front/dump + 3" Cat
* Nismo Cat-back
* 12psi
* Stock Turbo
* Stock ECU
= 203rwkw (272rwhp)
(Unknown at Western Sydney)
* FMIC
* HKS Pod
* Daiken Exedy Organic Sports Clutch
* Custom 3" Front/dump + 3" Cat
* Nismo Cat-back
* 12psi
* Stock Turbo
* Stock ECU
= 186rwkw (249rwhp)
(Croydon Racing Development)
* FMIC
* HKS Pod
* Daiken Exedy Organic Sports Clutch
* Custom 3" Front/dump + 3" Cat
* Nismo Cat-back
* Bosch 040 Fuel Pump
* 12psi
* Stock Turbo
* Stock ECU
= 180rwkw (241rwhp)
So as you can see different dyno's and different days (the above UniGroup days were both 30+) certainly make a difference. I certainly noticed a "seat of the pants difference" between #1 and #2 and also #3 and #4 (no mods were done between #2 and #3) but the Dyno's didn't show this.
I agree although would you be happy with a 20rwkw (peak) increase (over the standard r33 turbo) after spending $2,500 on an aftermarket turbo? Edit: ...and running 17psi vs 12psi.
I think i'd be "over" 20rwkw after about 6mths and it would be a waste of $2,500 to me (personally).
I wonder what the average power is tho with that hi-flow.
Thats pretty low if you ask me, it's only a ~20rwkw upgrade from a stock turbo. If i'm paying $2,000-2,500 for a turbo I want it to produce a heap more than 20rwkw-ish.
Does anyone know what HP the stock R33 GTS-t turbo is rated at ?
Whilst their is a good amount of "interest" their are not many people who are actually attending the current events (except for Drift Days). I've never seen more than about 3-4 drag/circuit attendee's at any event.
(before you start :flamed: me, my brake problems are fixed now all I need is tyres :wassup: )
That (drags) was something we were looking into when at the old drag strip but the cost to hire it all was -huge- because we'd have to hire the entire track (coz the drag strip uses the main straight of the track).
Now that we have a new drag strip (WSID) i'm sure this fee would be less (or maybe similar but much better quality facilities) and no doubt in the near future WSID would allow us to hire the facility. I don't think it would be in the next week or month due to ongoing maintanence and construction but im sure by say June/July they would allow us hire it.
The good thing is its a "Non-profit organisation" that is in control of the entire facility so hopefully hiring costs are "decent".
Personally i'd love to do a morning/afternoon or day (thats heaps of runs... say hello to a new clutch) at the drag strip just to get confidence up, improve my technique and post some decent times rather than having 2,000 people + commentators watching and commenting on my every move :wassup:
I'll hopefully be making my first driving appearance at the new WSID either this week or next to try and get a 13.8sec (down from 14.46sec) with only: K&N Panel Filter, full 3" exhaust, 7psi and 225/50/16's.
I had a 2.23sec 60ft'r but was plagued with axle tramp. So if I can remove the axle tramp I think I have an easy 0.5sec begging to be wiped.
(honestly though i'd just be happy to get off the botton of the SAU Drag list )
I haven't had my own car tuned and im not aware of anyone that has but im happy with UniGroup's (www.unigroup.com.au) attitude and expertise towards tuning.
I'd happily drop in and have a talk with them when I get my PowerFC.
