  1. Can syncro's be repaired or only replaced? I put the Redline Shockproof in my gearbox about 8-9mths ago and while it was really good to begin with the last month or 2 i've noticed that its back to what it was on the old oil (crunches often) I'm not sure whether to put in fresh redline (or another brand) or get a gearbox mechanic to have a better look at the -real- problem. Thoughts ?
  2. Who is going to the Top Fuel Test n Tune event today/tonight ? It started at midday and finishes at 7pm tonight and only costs $10. I'm thinking of arriving at 4:30pm after work just to watch em for afew hours. hola !
  3. Motul 4100 or 8100 is the only Oil I use in my car. My baby purrs so I don't see any need to change (although I don't have any fancy gauges etc to keep tabs on anything). Costs me $40 at the local Autobahn, speaking of which i'll be clocking up my 5,000km tomorrow so looks like im doing an oil change this weekend. :headspin:

A good condition RB25DET will get close to 208rwkw (280rwhp) using the stock turbo if you offer it the right support such as: * 3" Turbo Back Exhaust * K&N Panel Filter * Power FC+ H/C * Boost controller (12psi) * Ex Cam Gear * Bosch Fuel Pump * FMIC Using my limited knowledge I reckon you could get away with all of that for about $5,500 drive away. I believe alot of people upgrade the standard turbo way before what they should (if you have an aftermarket turbo on an RB25DET and your only pushing 200-220rwkw I honestly believe you have wasted your money). If you really wanted to get a new turbo just get your standard turbo hi-flowed to 450hp for about $2,000
  5. Get there early (4pm-ish) and you should get atleast 4 runs in. Got a "Test & Tune" tomorrow (with "international interest") so im paying my $10 hoping to see 2.5hrs of national and international drag cars
  6. $3425 + freight to be exact (Turbo = $2300, Wastegate = $750, $225 Oil Lines, Manifold = $150) .... i've already emailed them. Edit: Now is a GT30 really 50% better than a Hiflowed Stock turbo ?

  10. It's funny... when I email well "known" turbo shops and ask them what turbo would be suitable for 250rwkw on an RB25DET they all say GT30 but everyone on here says get the GCG 450hp setup. GCG 450hp = ~$2200 GT30 Setup = ~$4000 I wonder why that is....

  15. Me? I think you might have the wrong Ben. Still got a standard turbo (and will for alot longer, plenty more mods to get power out of the old girl yet) and no issues with my boost controller :wassup:
  16. From memory mine came in a 1 Gallon bottle (3.7L) and i had a tiny bit leftover.

  18. 12mths ago I changed my oil and put in the Redline Shockproof oil ($100) and it made a massive difference, 500% better.Its starting to get alittle rough again now so I might need to do it again.
  19. Try just painting it all and then use abit of sand paper to rub it back (after it has dried) thats how mine are done. I might re-do them again and put a gloss coat on em.

  22. Yup I had a look on there just then actually and going by their shipping rates its gonna cost about $600 or more... I sent them an email asking... will let you all know of the reply I get.
  23. I'm interested in that also... im after a set of 18x8 from Japan worth about au$1300. Edit: At a guess i'd say about $250.
