Well the mechanics had my car again on Tuesday and then Thursday as well. They have had 3 different mechanics drive my car for quite afew km's and cannot find any problems with the pedal at all. They want me to get an independant test done by NRMA ($250) to prove to me that the pedal/brake system is perfectly fine. If NRMA find a fault the mechanics are going to fix it and pay for the NRMA Inspection but if their is no fault found im stuck with a dud brake system and a bill for $250. I'll be back at RaceBrakes sometime this week to get them to check and re-check everything that they did before I took it to this other workshop.

Send an email to greg @ racebrakes.com.au and ask of his opinion ?

Why would you go with the "new turbo" option ? (I'm assuming by new you mean a HKS/Garrett)

You can get way more than 300rwhp out of stock internals, infact i'd say closer to 340rwhp by reading other peoples posts and cars i've seen.

I got a feeling mine could be out of whack too. 190km/h is speecut for me which is flat in 4th gear (7,000rpm). I hit both speed limiter and rev limiter at the same time.

The people that are complaining about noise/squeeling with RB74 pads what type of rotors are you using ?

Ditch your Ex Cam Gear + Clear Cover and get a 3" Front/Dump pipe and 3" Cat. It will cost the same and give you the same power but by having a full 3" exhaust you will be able to run higher boost (which will look better on your funky looking gauges for all the boyz)

From memory the Ultimates are only around 360.

I have had them on the front of my R33 GTS-t with DBA4000 Slotted rotors for about 8mths now and they don't squeel at all, never once. I've punished them a fair bit too in the last week whilst sorting out some other brake issues and i've found that the harder you hit them the harder they bite back. I did have Greg at RaceBrakes bed them in for me too (well worth the extra $50 odd, I gained alot more than $50 just in braking technique and other bits n pieces he noticed with my car). First brake he's like "Yup you got air in the rear lines", about the 3rd brake he says "Your front ride height is too low, your car is kangarooing and losing braking distance/effect". The list goes on.... I have certainly never had that level of service anywhere before. I'll be back there next week getting some more work done

My car is going to be back at Race Brakes next week getting a full inspection because my local Brake mechanic cannot find any problems (and wants to get an independant NRMA inspection just to make me happy.... which im far from)

His rear muffler was sparking on the ground when changing into 4th gear doing around 110mph. You can't tell me that is healthy for a quick pass (not that im a pro at drag racing or anything). I absolutely love the car tho :(

I agree its an absolutely fantastic R31, best i've ever seen. But surely the reeeeeally soft rear suspension has gotta be costing him time?
