  1. I put a Bosch 040 pump in my GTS-T about a month ago and you can hear it at idle sometimes but when you get going I can't hear it at all (engine noise and other noises take over it). Was the pump mounted intank ?
  2. It fark it but it may shorten the life of it if it is not cooled properly or if the rest of your car is not running properly. I'd suggest just setting it to 10psi and enjoying that for awhile.
  3. Before you do a trackday make sure your car is in good working order. Change all the fluids (gearbox, engine, radiator, Dot5 brake fluid). Make sure you have decent pads as well (something like RB74's not your nissan oems). I did my first trackday over 6mths ago and im still repairing my brakes now. I destroyed my master cylinder, glazed my pads and seezed my pistons. Now almost $3,000 later and she's almost back to normal.
  4. Was it done in tuning mode or shootout mode. If it wasn't done in shootout mode than add about 10rwkw to your current 127rwkw.
  5. You will find that after you get all the 3" exhaust fitted it will mostly like already be doing 9psi so if you up it to 9psi and then do the exhaust it'll be closer to 12psi.
  6. At home online at www.sportstab.com.au and also at www.centrebet.com.au Sportstab is easier to use but CentreBet usually has better options and odds.
  7. My last Skylines trackday has so far cost me around $4,000. How expensive was the Enduro ? hehe
  8. Yup at home you get to see teh entire race track, at Bathurst you get to see the 1 corner 161 times haha.
  9. Good work buster, the "SAU 1/4 Time" page will be updated shortly. You got an 11.6sec begging at the new track in 2-3mths.
  10. Hrmm its not gonna rain I already checked that. I'm thinking of going up to watch for the entire weekend... we'd be leaving 6am saturday and sleeping in our cars or where we are sitting (turn 1) and then prob get home like 10pm sunday nite. Not sure if i wanna go yet coz it'll be a $250/wkend and i wanna go to the CRD Dyno Day (to watch the great race on tv instead of just watching cars go around 1 corner). Hrmmm decisions...
  11. Hrmm set of nice 18's + rubber for my car or a nice gokart hehe. A mate of mine used to race all around NSW and we still discuss getting 2 karts + a trailer so maybe next year after i've finished afew more things on my car i'll look at that option again (unless I got a nice 20% pay increase hehe).
  12. Well the day after the Corporate Day their was a proper race meeting on at the EC Karts Track so i went their for the day and actually helped out a guy with his Kart (just helped push start him for the races and stuff like that). Was an interesting day and I would love to do it (even to this day i think about selling my car, buying a cheaper commodore ute and a nice arrow kart). Although back then i thought karting would be heaps expensive, like $3000 to build a brand new kart, $200 for tyres every few months and here i am buying $1100 tyres for the r33 and spending $3000 just on the brake system haha its a funny world i tell ya.
  13. After attending a Corporate Kart day with work out at the Windsor G-Kart Centre (Butterfly Farm) I seriously looked at buying a good kart and having abit of fun with it all. About 5wks later I had an R33 sitting in the garage
  14. From memory it bogged down alittle at the start so it can certainly go quicker. Who was the bozo that dropped a tanker full of oil down the right lane? I sat for 1hr waiting for them to clean it before i even got to see a car run...
  15. Is it just me or does anyone else look at the above posts and just see chinese ?
  16. I'd happily wait 3mths if I could get an R34 GTR for $59k (even if it did have some minor faults)
  17. TV who's got the TV !!!
  18. FYI: The 1 piece front/dump pipe will add ~10rwkw over the stock system. Thats the equivalent of going from 7psi -> 12psi. ^BUMP^
  19. I'm thinking more like RE540's although to get a set of RE540's + 17x8" rims is gonna cost me like $2200 where as a set of stock 16's with some average rubber will cost me like $750 hrmm decisions.
  20. Damn all these trackdays, someone donate some decent 17x8 + semi-slick tyres for me... pweeease !!
  21. I'm not an R32 fan but damn thats yummm, pity they have such an old ugly interior.
  22. Slightly off topic but thought i'd post it anyhow, this is an email i sent to TAKwheels.com.au regarding tyres sizes etc. > Hi, > > In regards to: > > Product: Typhoon > Brand: TAK > Details: Silver > Sizes: 17x7 > Off Set: 38 > Stud Patterns: 5/114.3 > > I was wondering what the widest tyre is that could fit onto these rims? I > currently have a 1995 R33 GTS-T which has stock 16x6" wheels which are > running 225/50/16's. > > In looking on your website at the FAQ section I noticed that you only have > 225's on 16x7.5" and above? I have seen 17x7's with 245/45/17 rubber on them > without any problems. > > The reason I ask is because A) im a mechanical novice and B) I'm looking at > purchasing these wheels purely for trackdays so the wider the tyre the better > (want atleast 245+ for "Semi-Slick" track tyres). Not interested about daily > driving on normal roads as these wheels+tyres would be fitted/removed on the > day. > > Any help would be appreciated, > thanks > > Ben. > In Reply: Ben , Legally for road purposes a 225 tyre is maximum width on a 7 inch rim accordimg to the australian tyre and wheel assimilation guide what you are asking is for an 8.5 to 9 inch tyre to sqeeze its shoulders in to fit on a 7 inch rim this will negatively affect handling and steering the shoulders of a tyre must sit square withh edges of rims as a minimum anyone who says otherwise is misinformed also a 38 offset will narrow the wheel track of your car by around 8 mm per side also negatively affecting handling on track street is ok but track no way regards Michael
  23. Nah wasn't bored at all, today was just an obervation day to take in all the sights etc ready for when i give that track a good hammering towards the end of the year.
  24. Forums have been running pretty slowly lately... is it a load issue or a bandwidth issue? I reckon images should be disabled. By that i mean the SAU server hosting/serving the images. These days everybody gets free webspace with their dialup/broadband accounts so why should the SAU server foot the bill and take the load from the users? Just a suggestion....
  25. Is their that much difference between 50 series and 45 series ?
