  1. IMO: * 16's with 225's (regardless of the tyre) is good for nothing but driving to work and back each day. * Drags, a 16" would be ideal with -atleast- 245's on the rear (so the above mentioned 16" deep dish wheels would be ideal if you can get the rubber). I enquired about this at Gordon Levin Tyres and he basically shook his head at me when it came to find tyres to suit a 16x7-8. I didn't think of Nitto's so i guess it'll work. * Track, a 17x7" would be bare minimum with a 17x8" being ideal so that some nice fat 255's can fit. Over the next 3mths i'll be looking for some new 18x8's for my daily driven wheel/tyres and then some 17x8's for my track tyres. I'll be using the 17x7's for drags or possibly just using my standard r33 16x6's depending on rubber at the time. Lemme know how you go Brendan coz it'll be interesting to see what combination you end up with.
  2. Your going to need 17's to get something wider than 225's. I've already looked into it (for track wheels) and even 16x8" will only give you 225's at the most (for semi-slicks if thats what your after). To get a 235-255 your going to need -atleast- a 17"
  3. Sounds interesting, i'll have to let you know closer to the date.

Get a slammed Forester GT, they are the shiznit. Oh n when your wanting to sell your GTR pm me
  6. The less clutter their is in an engine bay the better I say. I've got the piping going underneath and although the piping is alittle longer it leaves much more room for other things like oil coolers etc etc. Not only thing but almost every engine bay i've seen with the 'behind the radiator' has had issues with bonnets or repairs or removing/replacing parts etc.
  7. Great day at the track yesterday. Woulda been better if their were no bikes or v8 auscars but oh well you get that on an open day I guess. Highlights of the day for me were: * Stock Camry with the *beep beep* down the main straight * White R33 GTR who couldn't help going sideways (smoke or no smoke) * Franks R34 GTT screeeeeeaming past heading for turn 1 * Franks forgetting the directions back to the Hwy Looks like an interesting track, can't wait to get out there (hopefully on an SAU Private day)
  8. Yeah its certainly not cheap thats for sure, then add the cost of painting + fitting and you suddenly end up with around $3,000 worth of kit.
  9. I'll be down at Cobra Exhausts in Penrith tuesday arvo to see if i can get my middle muffler cut out. I've already got them to do my custom 3" front/dump + 3" Cat and it all went well...
  10. Interesting... I too have the 2 mufflers. My exhaust consists of: 3" Custom front/dump pipe -> 3" Cat -> 3" Nismo exhaust with a middle and rear muffler -> 4" Nismo Tip. I'm thinking of getting this middle muffler cut out and replaced with just a 3" straight through pipe (or possibly getting it done so that i can swap between a muffler or straight through pipe, daily driving vs track/drag). So about $40 and 30mins and it should be done eh?
  11. Yup GTR Rear wing, Nismo 400R sideskirts, Nismo 400R front bar and most likely a Nismo 400R rear bar + side pods. If you like the Nismo 400R kit take a look at the new pics i took of my car, only got the kit on this weekend (still got the GTR wing to go but the side skirts and rear bar + pods are done) http://skylines.pnc.com.au/pics/ben/bodykit
  12. Depending on the weather i'll be driving down, unsure of what time im leaving tho
  13. Its midnight and i've just got home from Panthers, its an absolute mess !!! Theirs a security guard every 15m you walk and they have blocked off every doorway, escalator, stairwell, etc. You can go down or out but you can't go up or in. A whole 30 people walk out and they let 2 people in, ruin an excelent nite at the club thats for sure. The streets are packed with people yelling and screaming, everyone is bipping their horns and just goin skitz in general Pity about the weather n the security guards but apart from that on ya Panthers.
  14. I'm 85% going (to watch), unless some drunk lady takes me home from Panthers tonight I'll be leaving when I get out of bed (so prob about 8.30am)
  15. Gonna be some light showers tomorrow
  16. a CD full of the images will be in transit to my place in the next few days n then i'll host them all
  17. 1hp = 0.746 kw 200rwkw = 268rwhp 200rwhp = 149rwkw
  18. I guess someone got their camber kit ?
  19. Cold Air Intake (ie an air feed ducting straight into the pod box. I'd just throw in a K&N Panel Filter leaving the standard airbox intack.
  20. Do that first as it will give you ~10rwkw as well as quicker spooling.
  21. I personally wouldn't be running anymore than 11psi thru a std turbo and std intercooler especially with summer coming. Sure you could run maybe up to 14psi but your then much closer to lots of things going wrong. The difference between 7psi <-> is ~15rwkw which is enough for you to feel the difference with in the drivers seat but you'll be over it within 2 months.
  22. Yup you'll deffinetly need a larger flowing fuel pump. As a guide the Bosch 040 cost me $340 fitted. *Std GTST pump is 135 litres per hour and supports 300 bhp at standard pressure *Std GTR pump is 190 litres per hour and supports 420 bhp at standard pressure *Bosch 910 pump is 200 litres per hour and supports 450 bhp at 73.5 PSI # 0 580 254 910 *Bosch 975 pump is 228 litres per hour and supports 500 bhp at 73.5 PSI # 0 580 254 975 *Bosch 984 pump is 228 litres per hour and supports 500 bhp at 73.5 PSI # 0 580 254 984 *Bosch 044 pump is 330 litres per hour and supports 730 bhp at 73.5 PSI # 0 580 254 044 *Bosch 040 pump is 235 litres per hour and supports 520 bhp at 73.5 PSI # 0 580 254 040
