  1. I guess thats what happens when the only thing that blows is your RB25
  2. I still can't see any car in that second pic Are you sure you posted the right pic Blitz ?
  3. I think the GTR boys are just looking for excuses if you ask me Duncan.
  4. I too have thought about changing back to the standard R33 GTS-T Air intake. Does anyone know if it can still be mounted while having 2 FMIC pipes running down through the body of that front section of the car ? Edit: After paying almost $200 for the UAS box to cover my pod it still hasnt been put on after 9mths of stuffing around. Then i'd have to pay someone to create a cold air intake duct down to the front bar.
  5. Hey JapJet i seen u yesterday at the Supernats. Nice car man... What did you end up coming in the Go-To-Whoa? Must have been about 5th right ?
  6. First time i've been to that site too... now I realise why the times were so crap in the mag it was Issue #30 haha.
  7. I was just flicking through the HPI mag (first time ever) and on the back page i noticed an Australia Drag Times list. The top 10 R33 GTS-T guys would all make it onto that list. I believe all you have to do is email [email protected]
  8. Every exhaust/mechanic i've spoken too basically said "sure it will help but sure it will reduce the life of your exhaust, expect to replace it within a year depending on how hot things get". Whilst its good to keep gases on the inside hot it does need to cool down and it can't do that with the thermo wrap. For a daily driver I wouldn't bother but for a person after every last kw or frequents trackdays i'd do it.
  9. Ooh should have my bodykit on by then Then all i'll need is a set of wheels and the outside is done.
  10. Been afew good discussions about these turbo's. Do a search for 'gcg' or something.
  11. ...not forgetting that thermo wrapping your dump pipe will dramatically reduce its life down to anything around 6-12mths.
  12. Yeah not a bad day. I arrived at 11am and left at 6:30pm after freezing my nuts off (forgot to take a jumper...) The Go-To-Whoa was pretty poor. 1/2 the drivers just kept on driving straight past the stopping area without even trying to stop, how pathetic. The burnout comp I also thought was quite pathetic. Of all the big loud earth shaking v8's sitting over behind the pits we had to put up with 50% of the cars not even able to do a burnout, about 30% able to pull wicked burnouts but died literally 10sec into the session and then the other 20% that could pull monster burnouts but the wind blew awake the smoke before i could even get to smell it (that what burnout comps are for right??). The show and shine wasn't too bad. Went for abit of a wander over there between the burnout comp and the off-street drags. Noticed 1 skyline (the car from the Burnout comp and off-street drags). He wasn't aware of SAU so I made him aware. Neat car, fmic, pod, 3" exhaust, wheels, abit of paint work on the interior drash trim etc, abit of a sound system, wine red 95 model making 170rwkw. The Off-street drags look quite promising as they all lined up. None of the crappy parents bombadores or work utes just strong american muscle cars with plenty of grunt. But typical Eastern Creek off-street drags, 5 cars run and then 1 breaks down, 15mins later another 5 cars run and another breaks down 15mins later... and so on. So after 2.5hrs of this and with no jumper and with light drizzle i decided to head home... So $30 entry, sunburnt face, a life time of goosebumps and 3 dagwood dogs later i guess the day wasn't too bad. Better than watching the footy thats for sure. I'm not sure what they will do next year coz that drag strip won't exist (but instead across the road at the new venue), so I wonder how that will all go.
  13. Except for the fact that every 10th car dropped oil which resulted in a 15min cleanup, oh and that it was windy as hell, started to rain and i forgot to take a jumper... Certainly not worth $30 for the Supernats thats for sure.
  14. Fronts are now sold Rears = $75 + Pickup
  15. grrrr I just ordered a brand new 1 last friday and it should arrive tomorrow. Damn !! PS; whats the go with the thread heading ?
  16. For the people who couldn't attend, can someone explain what happened and what you all did ?
  17. /Interested... Please post pics here in the forum so this thread doesn't get 50 replies with "pics please"
  18. *IF* I come tonight (got battery issues but its charging well so should be fine) can we just "drive" tonight instead of "thrashing the living guts out of 15 lines to see who is quickest in a follow the leader race". As usual i'll be towards the back just to enjoy the scenery (actually its because I can never keep up).
  19. So how long till you make it out onto the track anyway JimX ? Never even seen you at a cruise *nudge tonights northside cruise...* (he's probably at home playing V8 Supercars on PS2 to gain knowledge of the track ) I was giving it a heap on the track, but when your brake pedal is lower than your throttle you know your in twubble
  20. How many laps would you say you have done of each track? So far im at ~20 laps of Eastern Creek, I had "ok" brakes for about the first 8 laps hehe the rest was just "this is cooool, shiiiat im losing my brakes". So my best is a 2:16, with hopefully a full 10sec disappearing next time im out (will have brand new semi-slicks instead of 20,000km old Faulkens) My biggest problem is unless im in peak hour driving to work im a pretty much inexperienced driver. I barely even changed gears at EC for fear of getting it sideways or doing something wrong and ending up nose first into a wall hehe. But then again I didn't once get the car sideways or even loose traction (well ok I had abit of a chip when trying to change down into 2nd at turn 9 at EC haha) so for the remainder of the day it was just 3rd n 4th gears
  21. Sounds like im in a similar situation as yourself..... Have pretty much enough of the right gear just need to go round n round n round n round for the next 12mths gaining experience. I'd love to have Duncan do afew hot laps in my car 1 trackday just to see what he can do in it. I'm sure he would instantly wipe 20sec off my laptimes (like he did at Eastern Creek 6mths ago) infact probably even more with my car having more power and better brakes.
  22. Interesting article chops, thanks !
  23. Yea i woulda thought abit of neg camber on the front would help with turn-in better, maybe not.
