  6. all good, RaceBrakes managed to find a repair kit ($125) so its being delivered tomorrow + 2-3hrs of labour and im back on the road whoooo.
  7. Interesting, might have to give them a call, thanks Jimah
  8. Still having issues after having all the above work done (including braided lines). Looks like my Master Cylinder is faulty. If anybody knows where I can buy 1 (or a repair kit) please pm me.
  9. Its the skankz0rs. The bad weather on the w/end brough em out from hiding....
  10. Whats that ??? Mona is coming to throw on a BBQ ? Awww your so nice Monie.
  11. Only Rims, Tyres, Helmet and i should be back on the track. Hoping for December at this stage.
  12. Just for an idea on pricing (i've spent $2,000 on my brake system this year alone). From www.racebrakes.com.au (with member discount) * RB74 front pads = $175 * COMP2 rear pads = $125 * 4x Goodridge Braided front lines = $360 * 2x GTR G-Kit T-Piece = $30 * Front 4 Piston Caliper kit = $110 * Rear 2 Piston Caliper kit = $77 * Front and Rear Caliper Overhaul = $200 * 2x Caltex GP600 DOT5 Fluid = $58 * Install, bed in front and rear pads = $55 * Paint Caliper and Rotors = $65 I gotta take my car back tomorrow coz things still aren't right (possibly fault in my Master Cylinder) but after a recent trackday experience i've learnt that while its fun to go fast if u can't stop ur in big shit. My advice if you are wanting to increase your braking performance on a budget: * RB75 front pads * COMP2 rear pads * Caltex GP600 DOT5 fluid Bendix Ultimates = ~ 90c - 380c RB74 = 0c - 580c You should notice a siginificant difference over the standard components and you won't get fade on normal street driving.
  13. I only use Motul 4100/8100 for the engine and Redline for the Gearbox. The Redline gearbox oil will give u a massive noticable difference especially in 2nd and 4th gears.
  14. only if u hold my hand back... my car has been ready for afew weeks now. Just been the weather and my nerves holding it back from doing a 15sec pass.
  15. I think Brett should be made to run his car last on the day. Does CRD have Dyno insurance from cars breaking the dyno
  16. Tyres make a -massive- difference to rear end traction for the 1/4. When I had crappy 20,000km old 225/50/16 Falken ZE502's first gear was literally useless too me when trying to accellerate hard off the line. The rear end would just axle tramp and sing n dance all over the place. (this was with brand new shocks and those pineapple bushes). Threw on a new set of Michelin Preceda 225's ($235ea) and my god first gear is suddenly usable. Its amazing the difference tyres can make, don't spare any pennys when it comes to tyres.
  17. Nice power, whats ur full list of mods ?
  18. I like these tyres Michelin Preceda Tyre Review
  19. Put my name down 4x, I haven't been to a dyno day for ageeees... about 4mths infact
  20. Did they put all 3 defects on the 1 defect slip? If so then you only need to pay 1 fine (atleast in nsw). If they wrote 3 different defect slips for each fault then you'll be up for 3x the $$$ Also how did they come to the conclusion that your exhaust was "too loud" ? Did they test your exhaust with a small device standing behind your exhaust as you hold the revs at 3000rpm? If they just pulled you over and said "your exhaust sounds too loud here's a defect" report them to the local cop shop.
  21. I'd have to agree with Merli. I've never ever once looked down at my boost guage (center console below my mp3 player) while i've been driving in a spirited manner, even when at trackdays. I simply don't have the time or courage to take my eyes off the road for that long while 'on it'. A water temp and an oil temp would do me perfectly for the center console. I can look at these -after- doing afew laps around a track and they dont move radically enough (like a boost gauge) so I can look at them when I -want- to not when I -need- to. What are some good brand gauges? Where can these be bought from at a decent price and what are some websites with pics/specs/prices/etc ?
  22. Removed. No RSM's, GSM's, ASM's or any other SM's.
  23. Yeah I got a S1.
