  1. I was at AutoBahn the other week and before finding some Motul engine oil I discovered some Audio CDs full of Formula 1 Sounds. Does anybody have any websites with some decent downloads? Nothing better than sitting back resting after a hard days work listening to an F1 Ferrari screaming thru the streets of Monaco with the sound echoing off all the highrises.
  2. From a security/theft point of view how does it shape up ?
  3. medium left .... jump !!! /edit oops.. thats navigate.

    wheels wanted!

Whats wrong with the standard wheels ? I think they are quite nice for a standard wheel.
  8. you could host it....
  9. Interesting idea....
  10. Doesn't matter, as long as your Mechanic/Tuner knows what he's doing thats all you need. I'd be getting your full exhaust (Front + Dump + 3" Cat) done before going an aftermarket ECU though.
  11. Those word doc's were an interesting read. For a "noobie wanna be trackdayer" like myself what else is required to actually get on the track. So far its: * Second tie-down for bonnet * Throat to ankles covered (im guessing some kind of race suit?) * Non-nylon shoes * Fire Ext not required but recommended (wheres the best place to mount these? I was thinking somewhere in the passenger side floor) * CAMs license What else would I need to prepare myself for a trackday ? Any other noobie advice would be greatful, this HCC day sounds perfect although alittle too near for my liking.
  12. What power were u making before you did the fuel system? Im on 203rwkw with the stock ecu and stock turbo but have a malpassi fuel regulator sitting ready to be installed/tuned. Hoping this will give me those extra few rwkw that I want.
  13. Shelly you corrupt0r !
  14. Although personally I would not recomennd this (then again im not all that handy with a jack and spanners either). Its far simpler to take it to your local suspension specialist, have him throw it up on the hoist and use a rattle gun.
  15. /updates...
  16. I must admit.. as soon as i read the meeting was at Frenches Forest I stopped reading the thread. I mean hell im happy to drive to Nth Narrabeen at 1am in the morning on a drizzling night to go to the beach but... A more centralised venue would be nicer and you could consider me a regular attendee.
  17. I doubt its true although I do think it would be a very smart approach. I also think that everyone going for a license should be made to do an advance driving course and if they dont pass that satisfactorily then they fail. /thought.... is $150 -really- that much to spend on your son/daughter to do an advanced driving course ?
  18. Which in most cases is every 2nd wednesday (4 weeks in a month) although this month my formula got thrown Now i gotta find something else to do
  19. What??? Thats farked, its sposed to be on tomorrow night, every 2nd week grrr. Now what the hell am i sposed to do to get thru the week, bloody hell !!!
  20. Dremen if your going tomorrow night gimme a call (ICQ Me). I'll be going down to watch (again) from probably around 7pm onwards. I personally will be launching from around 1500rpm @ 12psi just until I get a feel for the track and the surroundings. Don't expect solid 13's all night (this from an inexperienced 1/4 driver). I personally would be happy with a 16sec first pass and a 14sec 2nd pass. Drop your rear tyres to around 22psi. Ben.
  21. mmmm recaro :whackit: Pics ? $1400 sure is alot for 1 seat but thats 1 amount of money i'd sure as hell be happy to pay back.
  22. They weren't all removed on compliancing. My mate has 1 and i see plenty of others around. I haven't noticed the seatbelt digging into me but then again i've never sat in a car with the bracket either.
  23. $80 for installation is abit steep. It should take a solid 30-40mins to install it and 25-30mins if they know what they are doing. (Surpisingly 2 suspension shops i went to had never seen them and no idea how to install them without the provided instructions). Should probably cost you $170-180.
  24. i've seen some in the forsale section for $450-$500
